No need for the hydrometer if properly dried per their directions.

Also, If storing for long-term it is recommended to put a heat seal above the zip lock area of the bag.

This is my method for the last few years.
Goof luck.
Yep. Without the heat seal its just a bag.

They are heat sealed. The only reason I threw a hydrometer in there was because I've got a lot of them, so why not use them.

So whats the difference between these Grove Bags and me just vacuum sealing a bag?
Grove bags have particular permeability in the plastic film that seems to be proprietary to this brand. It allows moisture and gas exchange over regular bags and Mylar. A technology designed specifically for cannabis with durability, odor control, oxygen diffusion, humidity control, anti-static properties, and UV protection.

I just opened a sealed bag I put up in mid March. The weed smelled amazing. As if it were only days old.
I pulled a couple buds and looked at them under my 40x microscope, and the trichomes were all intact and glistening. The weed smoked beautifully as well. Not the least bit over dried. Big fan of Grove bags.

I Bought a few last harvest, and used a combo of regular jars and grove bags...
I really rate them, even if only because they are much easier to deal with over a shed load of jars.

I just tried grove bags this last harvest and I am really impressed.
I put some in a 1/2lb bag to test it out, and the rest of the harvest in my regular mason jars.
Well, I opened the bag 5 days into curing to change hygro batteries, and it already had a very funky smell.
My bud in the jars are also displaying 2% more moisture than the grove bag, I am guessing that's the difference in smell.
