Deficiency, toxicity, light stress??? wtf is going on - week 4 flower

Week 4 in flower running 4seasons 200w LEDs dtw in coco perlite 70/30 blend. Lights are about 20 inches away

Top leaves are yellowing and appear to have withered/become skinny. Whereas the majority of bottom growth seems to be okay or at least not as badly damaged

Watering twice a day, just increased to 3 times, with around 15% run off. Have tested run-off both EC and ph coming out as it should

PH is 5.8 and EC 1.8-2 as per recommendation on label

Currently using Green Planet dual fuel Part A+B

Flushed them a week ago which hasn't appeared to have made a difference. Growth has been stunted significantly. Temps have been hovering around 80 F with humidity around 60%

** FYI photos are of 2 different plants, same strain, however one appears to have been affected worse than the other



All help/suggestions greatly appreciated

You have missed a lot of the signs your plant has exhibited for weeks. Those burnt and curling tips tell the whole story. Watering 2 or 3 times a day a e.c. of 0.7 to 1.0 is more the ticket

How big are ur pots? I run up to 2.5ec til around week 5 and then lower off and don’t see issues like that. Coco and salts work better in smaller containers. I like 3gal pots for fiowering.

They start in 1gals for veg and once i flip into flower they go into 5gal soft fabric pots

So you would attribute these issues to excessive nutrients? If i was to reduce EC how long do you think it would take for them to bounce back

Your probably getting dry back and thus accumulated salts in the coco causing lock out.

Flush, properly.
Lower ec (I use 1.4ec in flower)
Up your feed schedule

aint no way he’s getting dryback… the advice here sometimes is crazy lol.

In the future try 3gal pots; wait til they dry out and feel light to pick up and then feed to runoff, ur ec is fine, i go higher in coco in 3gal pots

Your rootzone is likely fucked due to overwatering… i would suggest starting out again and flower in 3gal pots.

Whenever you decide to finish the plant, check out the roots. It’s likely they are not big enough to drink all that water and getting funky bacteria/fungus in there

Cheers @dwc420letsgo you think if i give them a full dry back that may shock the roots into taking up nutrients again or they too far gone?

They are gonna be stunted and since its early/mid flower, id think yield/quality will be affected greatly. You can salvage but decide if it will be worth it to waste that time getting them back to health with very little growth vs starting over with healthy plants and no stunted growth.
