Did I commit a fatal error??

Hello all,
So I am growing a feminized seed, regular photoperiod plant. I screwed up initially and put it outside too early, so it immediately started flowering. I should have known better…..anyway, it was in full flower, beyond the pre flower stage.
I started putting it in my garage under a fairly bright fluorescent light every evening at dark, for several hours, hoping it would revert back to veg.
Things stayed that way for about 2 weeks and I decided to do something that probably wasn’t too smart. I picked all the little budlets off the plant. Every single one of them……thankfully it’s not a big plant yet. I’m not sure what my rationale was but it’s been 7-8 days and I’m wondering if it was the total wrong thing to do….???
U can see in the pic where I plucked them clean. I figured it may stress it for a few days, then it would start growing leaves again. But that’s not happening yet.
So I need someone to fill me in and give me the cold hard truth…….

Wtf? Gotta be the first time I've ever come across something like this.

To me yeah man you fucked up. Shoulda left her alone. Honestly don't know what to tell ya. I've never seen anyone do this before.

Maybe next time ya get a gut feeling...do a little reading first. Ask some questions.

Well this is very new. Yeah, if you have a plant that produces or fruits, you shouldn't pick all of its bud sites off.

I've re-vegged before and it worked but the plant would only grow 3 fingered leaves after that.
I guess see what happens with it.

Eventually if healthy in time it will throw more leaflets

Should have left it alone leave it be feed it water it and pray it recovers is all u can do now

Actually, removing the buds can end up making the plant re veg sooner in some cases. (You're removing a lot of the hormones that are causing it to flower) I'd suggest 24hrs light schedule until you see some new vegetative growth.
I've played around with this before. The thing is you need to leave some node areas alone so the plant can begin growing from those flowering sites.
Sometimes it worked well, other times the plant would just sit stagnant refusing to grow for a very long time. Only time will tell! Good news is it's still early enough to get a backup going just in case.

You've basically plucked off all the growth points, you mass fim'ed it! hopefully it will recover, but you significantly slowed down th process, luckily if you're in the northern hemi, you've got months for recovery.

I feel terrible about it. This plant was going to be grown inside but I didn’t have room for it. I figured I would veg it outside while the ones inside flowered and finished, at which time I’d move it back inside to flower.
I was hoping I could grow it to a good size in the 10-12 weeks it would be outside. Hell I’m halfway through the flowering with my inside plants and this girl hasn’t grown an inch. Of course it’s my fault and really wish I’d just left it alone.
The good news is my indoor grow is coming right along…….buds are getting full and stinking up the place.

Hey thanks for the advice and info…..it’s much appreciated.
I’ve been keeping the plant outside in the sun during the day and moving it into my garage under a shop light at night…..so 24 hrs of light.
I can finally see some new growth, albeit small and irregular. All the new growth is down low on the plant…..nothing coming out of the tops.
I’m wondering if I should top it down to where the new growth is starting??? Or will that be too stressful ??
I’ve attached a few pics that kinda show where things seem to be starting…..
Will anything ever grow from those tops that I castrated???
This plant is a seed from a clone that self pollinated and produced like 7-8 seeds. Literally out of roughly 5oz of dried buds came 7-8 seeds. I managed to get one to sprout for my last run and it was absolute fire……the best I’ve ever farmed. I had friends beating down my door wanting it and trying to bribe me with outrageous offers. Anyway, this plant is the last of those seeds, so I’d really like to nurse it back to health and take it to the finish line.

Looks like it’s making a comeback, unless the upper stem starts to die I’d give it a bit more time before topping. It still needs to put out more leaves.

If I notice weird regrowth, every week or two I cut off the weakest looking shoots
this will allow the plant to concentrate on the better shoots and reveg faster
I did not research this, but I've revegged a few times and when reveg happens, it can be a mess and this is what has worked for me

I don't think there is any harm really in removing the bud sites, or just leaving them. Ive had plants with just a couple leaves come back! (after months)
and I also don't think what you are going through with this plant is a big deal, it will bud normal and you will be happy

Thanks guys…..I need all the help I can get with this one.
My plan is to move it inside to flower once my current run is finished and dried….so about 6 weeks.
I’m def gonna leave it alone for the time being, but it does need to be transplanted before long.
I was thinking of waiting about 2 weeks, then moving it into its final 10 gal pot.

I got a plant out too early, too. It started flowering right away so I just left it. I'm not going to re-veg it, but it's going to give an early, but nice, harvest. That way there is more chance of good budd than trying to re-veg. I started another plant to do a late planting. The second plant is well on it's way.
