What I learned in just one grow

I got tired of high price schwag (crap weed) so after some research I bought the gear for growing, 1.a 2x2 tent is a waste of money unless you have little room for a larger tent.

2. I read autoflower is best for new growers, turns out the feminized / photoperiod are way better IMO and I have been buying only feminized / photoperiod seeds for my next grow.
I first planted my Northern lights and a mystery seed AKA UFO back in February and learned quickly keeping the tent at the same temps is very hard to do so I bought a 2x4 tent and sense then I harvested my NL and it's a ok smoke and a few days ago I cut a sample bud from my UFO and was amassed how good it was. I'm still reading and watching videos as you can never learn enough. So if you want to grow weed, grass learn from my mistakes and buy a 2x4 tent, two 100 watt or 1 200 watt grow lights. AC infinity controller, fan, filter and humidifier then soil and nuts of your choice. This way you can grow two plants for the price of one. I live in SO cal where it gets over 26 c or 80f for the non metric people and the best time to grow is winter because the heat from the lights helps and growing in summer heat is very expensive.

Yep I hate my 2x2’s I got a 2x2 and a 2x4 so 3 plants of said size. It suuucks. 3.5oz a plant where as my 2.5x5 I get 7oz per side last run.

They like space. Well glad you liked your harvest its a special thing. If you clone you can repeat that and have a small space looking for new genes. No surprise bad experiences. Get to know a strain real well. Keep stress low.

Of course do whatever makes you happy but yea Ive been enjoying cloning. Very consistant results.

What I wish I had was room for a mother tent so I could clone, seeds are costly and cloning would be I think the best way to save money. My electric bill was $40 each month over the usual cost and that $160 plus seeds is painful on the wallet.

Dude if I had the room for my 2x4 I would be using it, my northern light gave me 2.8 oz and I gave a lot of it away. The 2x4 tent could be my mother plant home and I could grow clones all year long.

This is my mother cabinet. 1x1’ not much space needed lol. Bonsais. I have 25 square ft flower space and veg plants that flip and replace harvested clones provide clones for next run.

I just got cloning down and only take one extra. I dont need more than 2 or 3 at a time. These mothers could provide them.

My 2x2 plants need to yield less to grow properly and finish on time. Need cuttings at last second almost not worth perpetuating. Its throwing things off they cannot get cut from veg plants.

But the bonsai mother can provide 3 easily. I have a weird setup to make it work in small bedroom that I live in.

Yeah I ask the landlord if I could put up solar panel and he refused, all I would need is a 350 watt panel and say two 200 ah battery's for my system.

Thats how it was with me. Just when I thought I maxed out space, I turn my bed side ways, can see the tv better AND fit another 3x3 and 2x2 tent lol.

I have my 2x4 tent half in the closet and half is sticking out and my bed on one side of the room, the other side has my giant five foot long desk. those three things takes up 90 % of my 10 x 15 ft room so after 20 years I'm getting rid of my desk and buying one that's 40 in long and that will give me enough room for the 2x2.

Cleared dresser top to make a diy tent to sit on top. I thought I done lost my mind and I did. I needed to learn how to clone on a dime or else I just was hoarding clones in case I didnt make new ones.

Well thats now my favorite tent. My strain is lovely but takes up the whole garden just to yield barely enough with pushing the whole setup.

That dresser tent is the future. I can find new genes and I have a great clue what theyll be. If I get better extract yield I wont have a using budget and can do more or less.

When I got into this my only thought was if I can grow enough to last me till the next plant harvest, I only smoke about a half gram a night but my Northern lights gave me 2.80 oz or enough to last say a year. It's not the size of the plant but the yield.

Thats awesome! I tried half g a day before its tough. Im a heavy user was like 3gs a day and just wasnt as good as dabbing.

I wish I could of took advantage of it being easier to yield smoke but already became a hash only guy. Im hopeful Ill have similar benefits when I find better hash yielders.

I do really like my gig as is Im more greatful than I thought Id be.

50w of light is enough if environment isn't a problem, I need 96w of t5s because its cooler in my part of the world so I need heat from the lights.

I like seeing the way people make use of small spaces for veg.

Depending on your needs a few cool white cfl,s might an option they're readily available, effective and cheap to buy.
