Yes, those are all pretty good (is it just me, or do *all* these new shows LOOK *exceptional*?)

Ossan Newbie is a comedy take of the overpowered MC who thinks he’s weak
Failure Frame is a isekai revenge story (*not* comedy)
Elusive Samurai is stark but effin’ gorgeous & at least semi-maybe-historicalish…great characters so far

Not anime, but I started watching Shogun last night…it’s *amazing*

Picked up the book during college - and it interfered w/ studying for finals so much, I gave it to a neighbor & asked her not to let me have it back until the next weekend…AFTER finals. I watched the TV miniseries w/ Richard Chamberlain & thought it was great - but THIS is incredible….

About to finish E4 of 8…another 8 are on the way

*The* difference: the book/miniseries told the story of MC’s adventures in Japan. THIS tells the story of Toranaga’s rise to the Shogunate (based on RL shogun Tokugawa(?)) in the time of the “opening of Japan”

It deserves every award (so far)
I watched it about three weeks ago and really enjoyed it.

I watched a 1983 classic last night “ fire and ice “ and it’s still pretty good. Frank Frazetta’s art has always inspired my imagination and sense of adventure. Probably try to find some more classics to enjoy.

I haven't seen it yet..I have seen the chamberlain version and it was good in acting and cinema, I would think, by the way your describing it ,the new one is as good..

Meanwhile since I can't watch it, I'll will go to doomed megalopolis, very obscure film, 4 episodes released, should have been more.. ;) :peace: :bigjoint:
