Not my first grow by far, first time growing in 3 years. Current life restrictions prevent me from growing indoor.

Week 2, started beginning of July. Had a hard time getting ahold of beans. Bag seed (purp that smelled like overly ripe cantaloupe), yellow miracle grow bag ( I know I know ) out door op, no lights, regular watering schedule. Half gallon pots thus far.

Any comments. Positive or Rude, constructive criticism gladly accepted. Looking for a community of growers. Dropping a few pics.

Hey!

Welcome back to growing! I see you're making do with what you've got. Bag seeds can be a fun surprise, and yeah, the yellow Miracle Grow bag... we've all been there.

Your plants look okay, considering. Just keep an eye on temps and humidity, and maybe provide some support as they grow taller.

Thank you for your input! I can’t do much to control temps and humidity. These are outdoor plants. I also don’t have access to a safe way to get stable and official seeds. I prefer not to provide support, the wind and rain should strengthen the stems up. I’ll be transplanting into 7 gallon pots in a few weeks and I’ll plant them up the stem to help with more root growth and overall plant stability.

Update: A bug got ahold of one of the main fan leaves on my 3rd seedling today. They’re looking a little lighter green than they were a few days ago. We’ve had a lot of rain lately and I’ve had to move them onto the porch during the day while I’m at work to keep them from getting beaten down and over watered. It’s been a few days since I watered them since the humidity is keeping the soil damp. Im gonna get some nutes tomorrow and feed them. Rain expected to stop in a few days and they should be back to sunshine. Any tips from other people growing outdoors?

Day 23, we had almost constant rain for a week that stopped 3 days ago, and I was having to bring them up on the porch so they didn’t get beat down. Not supposed to rain again until Sunday. I haven’t watered them since it started raining. Fed them 6 days ago on a Friday and I plan to feed them tomorrow if they’re dry enough. I like a proper wet and dry cycle and the plants haven’t had that in about a week. Not doing any topping or training. Just a discreet little late start grow. How do yall think they’re looking?

Day 33, put them in 5 gallon pots today. The little hurricane is gone and hopefully we can have some nice sunny late summer days.
Been feeding them on Fridays with an 18-18-21.
Should I lower the nitrogen levels in their feed or should I just keep pumping them a few more weeks? IMG_4403.pngIMG_4404.pngIMG_4405.png

Change feed ratio once stretch slows. Until then your basically just putting on leaf. Also, D.E. is not effective once it's gotten wet. So placing it on moist soil is basically futile

Thanks for the info on the fertilizer, what ratio should I switch to when the stretch slows? As for pesticides, I’ve not put the DE in the soil, I just sprinkle it around on the ground in my garden after each rain dries up. Should I be applying it a different way?

Looks good so far. If miracle grow is all you got access to at the moment then it is what it is you just have to roll along and see what happens. If any problems develop in the future you just address them as needed.
As for not having easy access to beans, if the plants all turn out female you can take some clones, or if you get two females and a male I would separate the male but gather some pollen to dust a branch or two of your females for future development :)
So then you could get some smoke, and some seeds for further grows until you are able to come across different seeds. You might even like what comes from your seeds. I have had bag seed that grew way better then the original smoke I purchased because where the seed came from was a larger grow and they were more about quantity not quality, but when I grew it I gave it TLC specifically for quality. And sometimes bag seed could also have been pollinated by the plant next to the mother of a different strain and you could end up with something new and unexpected, but is super killer

I’ve enjoyed bag seed smoke in the past but I’ve since purchased plenty of beans. As for the miracle grow I planted them in something else when i transplanted them into 5 gallon pots. It’s really neutral so I’ve been feeding them once a week. We just had a BAD storm come out of nowhere so I’m gonna see how they look tomorrow. I peeked they look fine but could definitely use a sunny day tomorrow. Two of them are showing female and one of them isn’t showing gender yet. I’ll post some updated pics soon.
