Low Temperature Dehydrator found that's *not* HerbsNow!

I live in Europe so shipping and customs fees from the US are huge for a HerbsNow dryer.
As a result, I've been searching for weeks to find a dehydrator that hits that 20°C / 68°F temperature and I finally found one!

I know that most folks will say to air dry and I get the reasons why... but that's not an option for me where I live right now, and I've read the HerbsNow research and all the pros and cons and feel like a dryer is worth a shot.

To anyone who uses the HN... do you think this will achieve the same results?

I have my doubts on how warm air can be best for drying cannabis. I haven’t tried it myself.. but I’m alright with 64-68F temps, and keeping humidity between 50-60% for a couple weeks. No work at all aside adjusting the exhaust.
Edit: cost effectiveness floats toward hanging as well. However if it’s what works best for your circumstances I’d go for it.

I'm not sure if it's best, but given that I can't hang dry and would be super afraid of mould (we have 18°C temp and 80 to 90% humidity outside at the moment), I figured it might be worth a try.

I'm new to growing and I guess if it didn't work I'd learn for next year and could get into... making jerky?

Will take away smells and flavours and likely to smell and taste like hay afterwards.
try hanging in a large cardboard box.
Slow down the dry/cure.
Drying is the hardest part especially if you have to be stealthy.

Given that the HerbsNow dryer doesn't take away flavour, terps, or give a hay taste, what would make this one do that?

I'm not trying to be confrontational at all, just trying to understand the difference between this item and the HN dryer so that I can learn what makes the HN one so unique and can look for a dupe that will do the same thing.
I know that even if I could stealth hang drying the chance of mould would be really high given the humidity so am looking for all alternatives.

Haven't looked into any of the products discussed. But some terpenes start evaporating at 21c/68f and a majority of terpenes start evaporating at 38c/100f I believe.

Cannabinoids don't start evaporating until very high temperatures, can't remember the exact number. So you're only risking taste and smell, AFAIK.

Agreed, I don't want to lose those terps!

Which is why finding a dryer like this one which goes as low as 20°C, to mimic optimum hang drying temperature, took me so long.
99.9% of food dehydrators have 35°C as the lowest temp which is just way too hot

The cost of purchasing and running one would be prohibitive to me unfortunately.
I live in a country where no homes, and only about 75% of shops, have air conditioning. It rains a LOT and while the summer gets to 20-25°C , the other seasons get cold, so houses focus on heating and insulation.

so am looking for all alternatives.

I use a freeze dryer. My cannabis is done in approximately 30 hours and goes into jars or sealed bags. I have 2 Koolatrons I keep my on deck cannabis in. I love them both and they really upped my drying game. However it is a pretty expensive solution.

I've only just started growing for the first time so have limited money to invest, but if I win the lottery I'd get a Kooltron for sure!

Okej your air is 20c but whats its humidity if its less than 60% you will get hay

I would reccomend thw wine fridge you can allways buy one from ebay 50$ and one 10$ dehumidifier and 15$ humidity controler

I has 2 perks first perfect drying enviorment second its sealed soo nobody can smell you drying

I'm looking at putting together the wine fridge drier possibly. Ebay isn't super popular over here so even doing it all second hand it'll cost be the same as this dehydrator (about €200).

Getting a second hand wine cooler tthatis thermoelectric rather than compressor is proving tricky but I'm keep an eye on some buy and sell sites with my fingers crossed.

Well, to go back to my initial post, the HN one works and this one looks the same.
But I've yet to try any method so I don't know.

If the smell doesnt bother you then use it fridge has a learning curve you have to program the drying yourselfe and also diy might not end up looking nice also has some drilling and siliconibg

Buuut how can you send 20c air if room is 25 or 50
