Here's an inexpensive chiller $145 chills 160l....I picked one up about a year ago and still running strong.
chiller
Wow, that's an excellent price. But, 160 liters — does it chill in gallons? ;-)

A 1/10 Active Aqua chiller is almost $500 on Amazon but other brands, like yours, are markedly cheaper. Any idea about the tradeoffs or is it just the brand name?

I have it on a 25gal rez and it works flawlessly....so yes it will also do gal :eyesmoke: I let mine run from 68 to 73 but it will go lower....or higher.
Someone told me it looked like just like a brand name one sold by a hydro shop but much cheaper..... probably the same factory with a label slapped on it.

Nice! How much is the power consumption? I see 270w of refrigeration, is that it? Or is this how much it can cool?
Mine pulls 260ish watts and takes about 15mins to chill rez from 73f down to 68f.....20gal. So it's a bit over kill for this small a rez but works great. Seems well made, quiet, and so far has worked flawlessly.
They have a 300l one for $188...on up to 1000l

We dont do full hydro only coco but its always good to know what the alibubbers have and what actually works. If you can get that one product on alibaba that doesnt break down the savings are very good. I will bookmark your comment with the link for reference:)

Oh, good, it does gallons! ;-)

Interesting point about "same factory with a label slapped on it". Maybe that's what's happening. There's not a lot of high tech in a water chiller and they do look an awful lot alike. Ya gotta wonder.

Regardless, congrats on finding a good buy!

Main difference would probably be the heat exchanger cores. The more expensive name brand one use higher quality grades, like titanium.

Looking good!

Those are 13 gallons in the tent and what are you using for the container outside?
8 gallon, the 13 i felt was to tall. I did however 3D print ABS legs that 2" PVC slipped over in order to raise so I could install bulkheads in the bottoms for draining. I also 3D printed a ABS threaded nut and fitting for my pump so I still had original as spare. The reservoir is a 13 and 1/2 gallon garbage can with a flip lid I'm going to keep all my plumbing inside which I'll post. I think I'm going to do today.

If i were to go for one of these fancy, fastest growth type systems id be looking at making a PPK a la Delta9. Im wary of any system where one pump failure could mess up the whole grow. Any machine will eventually fail, how much it affects your grow dependa on your system and if you can build in safety features the better.
That's the situation with any system that uses a mechanical (or digital) device. I have a spare water pump and a spare air pump. I rotate them every few grows, just to keep the dust off the boxes. :-)

Got it. I went back in the thread to checkout your setup.

You're able to drain into a floor drain?
