Can I use a Y adapter for dual tent exhaust wall vent?

Both of my inline fans are the same power, but the tents may have different speeds and settings.

I am wondering if joining them together at the Y to a single pipe out of a window vent cause some sort of suction or backdraft and interfere with either tent. I’d hate to blow humidity from one into the other, or heat and moisture from my veg tent into my flower tent accidentally.

Yes, you can put a wye on. If they are both running at the same time, I would put a one way damper in one line of the Y. Preferably the stronger of the two flows. If they run at different times put a damper in both lines. That way the line that's off will be closed to incoming air from the other fan.

It's fine, keep em both on all the time.

Ideally the Y will be bigger at the outlet like 6"-6" - 8"
But to be honest these ducts and fixtures can usually handle way more than we are pushing through them

My pipe heading out the window is only 4” and I considered a bigger one, I don’t have a gap in my glass block window big enough for a 6” outlet. I’d have to redo the blocks and I’m not sure I’m capable of doing that right now.

It’s definitely something I’m thinking about for the future, but when I started I only planned on having 3 plants, now I have that amount of tents.
