You might want to look into Promix a bit more then. Depending on the perlite, vermiculite and peat ratios of the type of Promix used, container volume and plant size, you can water anywhere from twice a day to every 5 days.

Ik ive been looking into all of them just to see what I like better do yk if promix hp or bx is better? And is it 2 a day bc I've been looking and can't seem to find if I can just water all at once or if I have to water thought the day

I did coco at first, but my well water would not hold ph so I switched to ro water, but that was a pain. I wanted to go soil but have to leave for several days at a time. I have switched to SIPs, something you can look into if you decide coco isn’t for you. SIPs have the advantage of almost hydro rate growth in soil, no need to worry about dry backs, weighing pots etc. The pot waters itself, just keep water in the res. Feeding is the con, it takes a bit to get used to living soil and getting the nutes right. I would have stayed with coco if it wasn’t for the water issue, but I’m glad I changed now.

If you can get Canna Terra Pro, Promix etc, get those.
I've used Canna Terra Pro and liked it. You can use it straight out the bag for smaller pots. I was using 40% perlite for my largest pot which is 80L. I was watering every 3 days.
How much perlite you add depends on your own pot size and your potting mix, coco, peat or whatever. And how you plan to grow and how often you plan to water/feed.

Coco for me. I don't even bother to transplant. I just put the sprouted seed straight into the pot and spray a little Fung-onil on the area. If the stem is weak, I usually just pile up some coco around it. I will feed every other day until it looks to be "teenage", then once a day. I'm using the 3-gallon Bucket System and one will plant take about a half gallon of nutes for decent runoff. Therefore with only 2 plants I mix 3 gallons of nutes to last 3 days. Put in a feed pump and it takes under a minute to feed and another to recycle the runoff into the yard/garden. You could put it on a timer as well. I do check the runoff pH and ppm, but that takes very little time. I used to adjust the pH every time prior to feeding because it drifts up but I quit that and only adjust the next nute mix if the last runoff starts to drift away from 5.8. My yields have been great and I reuse the coco.

I have tried DWC, soil. Coco. soil coco/ worm castings, coco, coco, coco.
Coco is hydroponic and as such needs all the imputs that a soil bio would supply.
I have bought 3 ph pens and now I use the drops. lasts for years.
I check my Jacks 321 for ph an hour after mixing and leave it if it is betweeh 5.5 and 6.5 with tap h2o.
The ph will change over a few days. Mine goes up a bit. In 1gl fabric pots, I feed a qt or more to run off every day in flower sometimes 2 times if it is in a growth spurt. I reuse the coco.

I like coco it's a good all round medium, I've used dtw with a timer but it's a royal pain constantly increasing or decreasing the pump timing intervals with growth rates even with a minutes/second interval timer, it's a pain dialing it in.

I'm using autopots now I've 11 or 12 plants and 30ltr is lasting them a wk so I've got to fill the reservoir weekly that's it for me for feeding.
Autopot are just a sip, imo filling a tray and siting plants in it will work much the same provided it's sealed up to prevent evaporation messing with the ec/ph and light getting in causing algae but that easy done.

I should add that I only feed every other during the early stage because I'm in no hurry at that time. I just need to get the plant to a good size before the 12/12 switch. It doesn't matter to me if it takes a week longer. Flowering is a different story. I've never fertigated more than once/day though. Since my yields are great, I have a hard time justifying the energy and resources to do that for small incremental gains. If I wanted more yield, I'd use the time and resources to start more plants rather than trying to get a "perfect" yield.

I plan on growing in coco next grow and I'm just wondering whats the benefits and other stuff to growing in coco ik you have to feed nutes every watering or so but what else?
And another question is my tap water is like 250mg/L can I use that or would I have to use ro water? Don't really want to use ro bc it would cost me close to prob 100 a month or so

Hey bud, yes I'm still using autopots but with coco/perlite mix, that isn't because I think coco is better it's only because I had 100s litres of coco and 10/15 ltr of coco specific nutrient to use when i got the autopots.

When I used pots of 100% perlite in nutrient (ionic) I got great results with very knowledge and even less experience.

Yes I use panda film to make lids for my pots, lol it was growing with perlite back then that inspired them!

Algea growing on my medium irritated me it's harmless but unsightly so I made the lids to prevent it and got some unexpected bonuses.

Yes I use panda film to make lids for my pots, lol it was growing with perlite back then that inspired them!

Looks great! I've run sub irrigated planters w organics (not autopots) previously and when covering the tops I would see those feeder roots too. Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions.

I haven't used it yet, but I should probably look into adding some. I test my runoff ph, and it seems to stay pretty stable.
I did have some early mag def when I first started using the mix. I never used coco before, and the mix didn't work the same as the peat/perlite blends. I had inter-vein stripes on lower leaves early in veg. It's been rolling along pretty good the past few months now. I only run 5 plants in a perpetual, so I haven't needed to make any more mix yet.
