I’m watching Dr. Stone and I keep having a recurring thought. Is it weirder that a lot of anime characters look like Michael Jackson in his later years or that Michael Jackson in his later years loos like anime characters ? This is something I noticed a few years ago and it just keeps happening, mostly it’s the nose and cheeks. Has anyone else had this thought ?

Jin Roh, the wolf brigade.

It's from the guy who made Ghost in the shell. Ghost in the Shell was so popular, it allowed him to make Jin Roh. It's an incredibly cinematic anime about post WW2 Japan, where the Germans won WW2, so Japan took Germanic influence instead of American. I won't spoil the plot. It's an incredible piece of art that just so happens to be an anime.

I get it: it was recommended to me by a friend, but partway thru E2 I was done, as in DONE. Such bullshit….

eventually I got itchy to watch *something* different, & I ran into enough interesting views on the overall story to just forget Fate:Zero & watched Fate: Stay/night…which was pretty darn good, putting aside my basic dismissal of the core & main aspects. Eventually watched to the end, and overall glad I did.

At some point, I returned to Fate:Zero & just skipped the first 2 eps, and I enjoyed it probably more than the rest.

I watched something yesterday by Zack Snyder I forgot the name already but it was a Viking thing with Thor and Loki, quite a bit different than most stories but really good. Damn near anime porn with three some action, gay and lesbian scene’s ohh my.
Today I started watching inner chambers ( at least I think that’s what it is called ) more gay scenes, not really family friendly cartoons. I guess when it says MA they mean it. Lol

This summer season is getting pretty good.......

Slime 3
Wand and Sword (this one is the biggest surprise for me)
The Ossan Adventures (over power OP kicks butt)
Tower of God S2, has been interesting, always loved the sound track
No Longer allowed into Another world (this one has been a surprise)
Failure Frame (although it's a good story line, the animation needs some work)
The elusive samurai (actually flows pretty good, impressive)

there were a few other i have, but those are the main ones i like, after all this and catching up on the Ep's, finally got some stuff done around the house and around the shop.....it's been hot to say the least down this direction.

Sunday on the other hand i got sucked in, yes Hell's Paradise Dub watched the whole thing...ugh....but i do have to admit, going through the story in the DUB version was alot better than the SUB version.....

i get the strange feeling No Longer Allowed is a weird story, i wasn't gonna watch it honestly just kinda fell in my lap as it were, kinda like "lets try something different" it's got me for the most part, but i am losing interests though....

for me Wand & Sword has been the stand out this summer season......

Wistoria has absolutely overachieved…E11 is just…gotta get more seasons of this. Apparently the mind behind Re:Zero is behind this, too

I remember the celebrated Japanese author, Yukio Mishima, who turned on all the lights - and then (w/ his paramour, IIRC) performed seppuku…having run out of things to do, perhaps. I think that affects my ability to swallow such a near-identical frame in an isekai…especially w/ the harem

Just saw last 2 eps of Days with my Stepsister…another overachiever, didn’t have any idea where the season would end, but they pulled it off. It’s a slow run, but builds up. I’d love to hear y’all’s opinions. Not into the trope but this over-delivers.
