Not only do the dogs make me smile...but we are pondering buying a vehicle to convert into a camper/etc....and one of the vehicles I'm looking at is a shuttle bus a lot like this one. Still trying to decide if it's a crazyAF idea or just something crazy people like us do. Like I need another project.....My kind of bus ...
Nice. I spent a lot of time in Tucson (in the Summer no less) as a kid in the early-to-mid 70's. Up by Magee and Oracle roads. Back then everything to the NW of my buddy's parents house was mostly open desert. We used to ride dirt bikes all over up there. His parents then moved to the end of Thornydale on 40 acres in a semi-off grid house they built. Not sure what golf course/resort it is now but whatever it is ate up their homesite after they sold. Lotsa good times and mexican weedTo those of you in the workforce G.D.I.M.A.
For the rest of us what shall we do today.
The 4th hole at The Views golf course in Oro Valley.
Not far from were we are. Back then the roads we live near would have been dirt roads. The golf course off of Thornydale is now called Crooked Tree. We played it on Saturday. Not only do the dogs make me smile...but we are pondering buying a vehicle to convert into a camper/etc....and one of the vehicles I'm looking at is a shuttle bus a lot like this one. When my wife and I have a disagreement we compromise, and do it her way.
I looked at Google Earth to burn through the cobwebs. Their house is still there...though much larger/added onto. It's not a GC...it's now called Saguaro Ranch South. There's a real estate office on the map. Their house is the one directly north of it. At the time there were NO other homes up there to the North/etc. and the road dead ended right past their house. We did purple microdots (and tequila shots...LOL) one night and slept on the roof/watched the stars all night long. heehee...youth.Not far from were we are. Heehee. Down there, for sure. Here on my road...not so much. It's like traveling back in time...starting with the signpost @ the bottom of the road that has family names on ii of who owns land/a cabin/etc. Some have owned for so long the paint has faded where the sign is almost unreadable.Things can really change after 50 years.
UNWANTED FLASHBACK!
I was Dad's favourite. He didn't even try to hide it.UNWANTED FLASHBACK!
For decades, I endured three entitled sisters who lived by that mantra. And they all embodied that smarmy "Daddy loves me more!" smile.
Oh wonderful - piling on ...... I was Dad's favourite ...
.... I thank you for that.... He didn't even try to hide it ...
