NIce, you go to spend many years with her!
My grandmother was so special to me and she died too early.
I did and I was young and dumb enough not to realize how special a gift that was. I did end up being the family repository of many of her most favorite recipes, so there's that. It turns out that one of the secrets of farm cooking is just simplicity and getting your timing right.

It's very scary in the beginning, then you get used to it.))

But the most important thing is that at such moments you realise that everything you have been striving for in life is nothing... it's all vanity and trifles. The most important thing in your life is your loved ones and life itself. It's like you're free of a burden all of a sudden. And you begin to appreciate more than anything else that you had not noticed before, that was ordinary for you before.

Peace!
I guess you can get used to anything when you have little choice.

And yes, when you are confronted with your mortality, everything that is important comes into clear focus over the rest. I can really only barely imagine what it is like.

I wish that soon you have the time and energy to concern yourself with trivialities once again!

Yes, in fact, man is such a resilient creature in extreme situations that it is surprising at times.)) There are two ways here, either you surrender to fate, stop fighting, then you are finished. Or you strain your will and start to resist, then you have extra strength and you survive.

I can really only barely imagine what it is like.
started writing about my experiences.... I thought, I probably won't write about it here.)))

It's your topic and I don't want to get you in trouble....

Hello, Friends!

I want to bring a little something of myself here. I see that there are some vert fans here, so maybe it will be useful for you. I've covered this method before, but I'll share it here.

We all know that the main disadvantage of growing vertically is the extra time it takes for the plants to grow upwards. Vega should be a very long time.

All of you probably already use an extra box where you prepare seedlings for transplanting while the main plants are blooming, to shorten the vega time.

Yes, this is the right thing to do, but I'm going to show you how it can be done faster and more compactly.

I call it the “Fishing rod method.”

Once the plants have emerged from the ground and become strong, you turn off the powerful light, and leave the plants on very low light so that the plants, sensing the lack of light pull up the fishing rod. This method allows you to force the plants to grow upward with maximum dynamism. With powerful light. you will take several times longer for the plant to reach the same height.

You can ignore the large distance between the nodes - that's not important right now!

The second aspect of this method is the shape of the pot. In order for the plant to grow upwards rather than outwards, even with strong light, you need to choose the right pot shape.

You need a pot in the shape of a narrow, oblong cylinder. This is because the shape of the roots follows the shape of the crown. As a rule of thumb, the distance the branches spread out is approximately the same distance the roots spread out. Therefore, we choose a pot in the shape of an oblong cylinder.

Thus, in addition to maximizing the growth dynamics through low light, we also maximize the growth dynamics through the right pot shape.

As soon as you switch the plants to flowering in your main box, you immediately plant the seedlings in the reserve box.

During flowering time, you can grow rods of huge size that you don't need the extra time to veg.

And another advantage, the pots are very small. and the rods only grow upwards, so you can fit 20 rods in a 60X60 cm tent. These rods use very little fertilizer... very little.

This is what my fishing rod looks like now.

3 months veg/pot 250 ml. (coffee glass)

Once you transplant a fishing rod to a large soil and a powerful light... in a week you won't recognize it..... It'll be lush and beautiful.

I have a fishing rod in a liter pot. This rod reaches a height of 1.2 meters.

If you keep them on the vega for two months instead of 3 months, the rods will not be much shorter.

Also plants from rods are very compact in vertical installation, you can plant more plants on the same area.

I also forgot to add: I recommend keeping rods on a very long vega for 2-3 months. On a very long vega the plants will be much more lush and dense, even in low light.

This is because the branches on such a long vega start to divide into two smaller branches once again. The plant becomes twice as dense. This applies to both fishing rods and main plants.

I thank you for bringing your perspective and experience here where more people can see it. My own vegetative phase is similar.

I'm thinking it might be getting to be time for another run with the old tech here...
If we follow the laws of dialectics, everything around us is in constant motion.

Even if we take fashion as an example. Notice how styles are constantly repeating themselves after some time. Fashion from the 40s can resurface in our time.

But again. it is no longer an exact repetition, but what is relevant at that moment. And it's no longer the old, but the new based on the old. The old is improved and modified to suit the modern vision and technology.

And this old, whether it wants it or not, is constantly being improved. This process is endless.

And so it is in our case. Yes, it will be old, but it will be an improved old.

I guess I'm behind the curve on this one. Because it all came to us much later. When I became familiar with it, a lot of things had already been done before me. And I didn't need to invent something, I took it ready-made. You and I have the same basis. But if I look back, I realize that what was then and what is now are not exactly the same.

I like to think of this as an iterative process; we build a system and then make changes. We keep the changes that lead to improvements and discard those that don't.

I've discarded A LOT in my time but what's left after all these iterations is pretty good.

How many iterations does it take for someone to be considered a "new" invention? Nothing jumps out of our heads fully formed and nothing in modern life is unrelated to what has come before. So what's the line between iteration, innovation and invention? Whatever the Patent Office will accept? LOL That seems pretty arbitrary and bullshit to me...

Товарищ, as you said, we continue what we started! We carry culture - that's in any case! And it doesn't matter where we are from.. culture knows no boundaries!

How many blissful revelations
The spirit of enlightment hides!
And then experience born of lapses
And genius antinomy-wise
And chance, the heavenly inventor...
