No problem have a look at that migro guys utube clip on the uni-T and how accurate it is he breaks down what type of light and spectrum and provides a mathematical value to convert the lux to ppfd with a calculator. I use a few different viparspectra lights and the conversion numbers are different depending on what type of light for instance my ks3000 is say 40000 lux × 0.0145= 580ppfd etc. Do some research on the conversion values as I'm still learning this stuff myself. And while it's not 100 per cent accurate you will notice the difference in yeild health of plants and growth rates.
Thanks mate much appreciated
I forgot to mention take your readings with the tent door shut if possible the meter will pick up any ambient light. I just undo the zip a little and poke the meter in with a card board pole or leave the meter in the tent zip it up and I've the app

Looks nice but 4.22 gallons is way to much. Even more than my two 3gallon plants I regretted having and thats just 2 plants guzzling 60 gallons in 3 days or less. Plants will get a false signal to grow much larger than they need to because its not like soil.

If they have super slow dryback able to be fed 2x a day that would probably be the least pain. People say it will give soil like results treating coco like soil but IME they grew great just humoungus with no need for all that media as it will not root through all that coco.

I grow in pots more than 4x smaller than that and only barely rooted tightly through the one gallon with more space for roots to grow still. I would flip those relatively soon if youre aiming for 2x2’ size plants in your 4x8 if I recall your tent size right.

Here are pics of my 3gallons 6 wk veg.

Do u mean litres that seems like a lot, that’s like 40L per plant a day for an 11/12L pot. I know people who run it in 16L pots and don’t have any problems feeding once a day they said to me.

But yeah I’m running into a bit of a problem that the ones I transplanted are pretty big and ready to flip but the other strain is a lot smaller, I have a small 90x90 cm tent that I might set them up in so they can veg a little longer be a tight squeeze but they’re not quite big enough to be flipped yet where as the other ones are

Yeah mate they look good, do u mean 6 week flower is that buds on them?

Left plant 6wks veg right plant 5 wks then flipped and that was probably 3-4wks from flip. Yea people say things but your mileage will vary. I couldnt feed 2x a day like some claim is fine. Some say 3 gallon coco is their favorite while others grow in 1 gallon or less.

It was a nightmare for me I was frantic couldnt wait to be done.. With “2” plants lol. Imagine 8 I think you got. Just wouldnt work for me but if it works for you thats great, but if it doesnt I thought Id share the route I took.

Boils down to just using too much water and growing too uncontrollable of size of plants unless you know strain well. Ive done a few grows controlling the rootball size amd infact see its correlated.

I make small plants for a square foot with that logic. When given a rootball 4x bigger than the enviorment/space called for the plant just exploded like a plant grenade. That can happen on a larger scale like with my first 2x2 grow. Turned to mold.

I just think with those plant counts youd save a lot of time and water doing smaller pots especially if you DIY your coco. Washing 3 gallons per plant is a pain.

Aye mate this is my first time running coco so I’ll see what I think at the end maybe try smaller pots next time if I feel I have to. Seems to be going good so far though so I’ll just see what happens, I still have 4 in 7.5 litre pots and I might just leave them in that as they are sort of smaller.
