I did like 1ml per gallon to start and then you can do like 2ml per 5 gallons after that once per week, if you can remember.

Did you still keep water temperature in the upper sixties, or increase it ?

The BEST, by all available data, is to use some sort of aquarium cooler and a rez to control temps. That's just impossible in my situation, so I just let er rip in the middle of summer. Rez temps in the 80's, even now. With ECOFIX... no problems. I'm not saying in a lab there might not be SOME advantages to a cool rez, but the idea that once it hits 70+*F it's instant death and the solution will turn anaerobic and root rot will set in just isn't true.

One of the biggest reasons for cooler water, is it holds more DO, making it harder for anaerobic bacteria to take hold. Not to mention, 80° seems excessive for the roots.

It's a double-whammy, DO is negatively correlated with temp and bacteria growth is positively correlated with temp.

I add 10ml to my 27 gallon rezes initially, then 5 ml twice per week. You may want to do twice that amount after the initial root shave, then back off when you see lots of white new growth. Let us know how it goes.

A few of my rezes also get into the mid 80s with no problems. As long as your bennies are outcompeting the nasties, you should be fine. I'm sure there's a point where the water temp would be harmful to the roots, but I haven't found where that line is. With the Ecofix, I no longer have to worry about it.
I added a total of 4ml to my 4.5 gallon system,, figuring since it's bacteria it will grow exponentially to some sort of equilibrium regardless. I also turned off my in-line UV system.... and will keep the water at 20 C. Is it essential to cut the roots, or will the ECOFIX bacteria clean up the existing roots ?

I'd cut the roots, I know it seems like that is instant death, but they are tough plants. You don't want that dead matter as well as the sheer quantity of contaminated roots full of bad bacteria and what not.

If you do so, it'll be months before you can try again for the hormonal magic to reset.
The plant in the pic I posted previously with a similar pythium infection was in the first week of flowering.
After cutting the problematic orange roots, healthy new roots grew rapidly.
The end result was about 25% less yield than it's sister plant, much better than expected.
My plant now is in the second week of flower, and I just swapped the water out again, adjusted pH, then added BOOST, BLOOM, Awesome Blossom, MagiCal, followed by ECOFIX. Water temp 69-70F, 72% humidity, pH=5.64, TDS=1407, EC=2810, ORP=341. No H2O2, UV Off, 12/12 light. When the plant wakes I'll trim the roots.

You MAY want to turn your lights down a bit. Reason being, is you won't have the root mass to support the PPFD. I'm not sure on your PPM's, if that should be backed off for now, or maybe the plant needs as much food per drop of water it can get at this point.... a person could make arguments for both.
