Yea it took just a bit to level out. I’m at 60F and the Rh is leveling from 63.5% to 62.5% as of right now. I did have a little bit of hayish or chlorophyll smell when I opened the door this morning to check the buds. They have definitely been shrinking up, the outside was dry but not super dry and still a little squishy when squeezed.
My question now is, I guess once I get to 60% rh do I now just let it stay at 60/60 and let it ride and cure for a few weeks?

Yes, let it stay at 60/60 and cure for a while. Even when it settles for a while at 60%, the centers of the buds hold moisture so it will continue to even out and start curing.

I went ahead and ordered it and I'll let everyone if it works out. It doesn't ship directly from Amazon so it won't arrive til Saturday or Monday. Got my fingers crossed.

Has anybody reversed the fan on their dehu so the warm air blows out the front instead of up? I got my Pro Breeze today and took it apart and reconnected the wiring. I tried reversing the fan wiring but apparently it only blows in one direction. The fan housing is held on by four clips and can be flipped over.

i have another harvest coming soon so i won't be able to cure my current harvest in the wine cooler. I'm thinking to reach 57% RH then bag it in grove bags and then throw it in a normal compressor fridge. do u think it is safe to let it cure in a compressor fridge, or is that a bad idea and i should just let it cure in grove bags in room temperature?

I guess that would depend on room temperature. I bag mine up and have an older compressor based wine fridge that I store seeds and bags of bud in, and keep it at 55f with no problems. I don’t know if dropping the temp below that would stop curing but I doubt it.

I did a quick wet trim to ensure I don’t start with very high humidity. I loaded everything and then I let it settle for few hours so the sensor can read the actual humidity in the cooler before I start the process of dehumidifying.
I started with 55f and 78% RH. I lowered only 0.5-2% RH average daily and 1% RH difference value. After almost three days I reached 73% RH. Then, I put the target to 99% RH to see if in fact the humidity in the cooler is 73% or a bit higher, but to my surprise it spiked all the way to 82% RH. I checked inside the cooler to see if any water is pilling up at the bottom that is not draining, but it was dry.

I’m confused! what could be the issue! Or is this normal?

btw I’m using INKBIRD humidity controller.

73% is just your target number. It really has nothing to do with actual humidity. Your buds still have a bunch of moisture inside of them. That'll no doubt raise your RH% if you put the dehu to not kick on till 99%.

Cooler is working like a charm. One big problem. Im going to have to build a few more. I couldn't even fit my entire plant in one cooler. I am surprised by how much bud these things will hold though. 1000001516.jpg

what do u mean? make sure u connect to 2.5 not 5G
It was connected at one point but then dropped out. Trying to reconnect the app but it just won’t pair up again. I mean I can still use it manually but then why did I pay for WiFi lol, I give 1 star if it can’t work longer than 2 weeks

How do u know when they r ready to be bagged? do you use a moisture meter or what exactly?
I let them stay in the cooler as long as I don’t need more space to dry. If going straight into jars or bags from a quick dry, I would set the target to 58% rh and let it go a couple days settled there, then bag up and throw a hygrometer in a couple jars or bags to spot check after a day or two, just to be sure they are properly dry. They are going to slowly release moisture from the center of the buds until a constant rh is reached, so the denser and larger the bud the longer they will need to sit and fully dry/cure.

I'm in the final stages of my build and I am wondering if there is a post with a step by step guide stating what settings I should have the koolatron set to on the first day and then 2nd and so on. I ask only because there are so many pages already. I appreciate any help you can spare. Thank you in advance. I see now that my dehu is upside down. Did anyone use anything to secure it to the fridge? Also I'd like to see the modified bottom tray @Hook Daddy

Oh what have some of you used to plug the hole? In the cooler?
