If you look at the back right plant this would be an example
Hoping for a few big heads on this plant but it's very bushy View attachment 5433451
Lollipop and prune/defoliate, call it a day. If you are looking for tops, make it so. Cull everything below the 3rd node. Use the two finger method; cull once the node spacing becomes more than two fingers.

*if you are unsure/uncomfortable on what leaves to defol, start with the ones that have a purple petioles

*prune all branches that haven't reached the net. I see one clearly in your picture. Cut it, you know it's not going to produce or contribute to what you want in a final product.

What kind of par are you running?
I ask because they look like they could be pushed harder...which will give you more light penetration.
I'm not big on defoliation either....I like to let the plant do most the work. But there are advantages to it, especially in small spaces.
Grow looks great!

What are you feeding your plants, or how are you fertilizing them?

Your plants look like they are growing strong, real thick and bushy. So maybe nothing is "wrong." But is it possible that next time you could feed less nitrogen in veg and grow plants that are less leafy and bushy?
