It sounds like I should just buy another oz and wait another week! it’s really sticky and smells so good! I wish time would fly!! I have them in grove bags now! I put them in there around August 5th.Should be fine youd be able to find out. Itll just not smoke good at the worst amd need more time.
It wouldnt speed up the cure as much as narrow the window you almost missed to redistribute moisture and etc, to cure.
It can speed up how soon it will burn ok in a bowl but you may miss the cure. My weed smoke strain I mothered and am to grow out again some time soon. Its better to jar it on the drier side so you may be perfectly fine.
Ive jarred too soon before and just doesnt burn or cure. I re jarred it on the drier side and was perfect.
You can make a little bit of edibles or rosin if you get a small cheap press, endulge tonight! I press my rosin and dab it on day 7. Edibles Ive made from freshly chopped weed no dry time.
Sounds like a plan !!Just smoke it man it’s fine.everyone does. Just think of it as research. “Hows it taste and smoke at one week compared to two weeks compared to three etc etc. its fkn science man be a scientist lol.
This^No one is truly curing weed. What they’re doing is slowly and often inefficiently redistributing moisture.
The constant opening and burping is simply a way to dry the buds a little after being sealed up, which makes the moisture move from the middle of the buds to the surface.
I completely agree about slow dry vs fast dry, I usually dry for 14 days or more, and I also feel that in many cases there is an improvement in smokability and flavor after three weeks of stable storage. The part that I'm skeptical about is that the improvement is a result of "off gassing" as some people put it, or aerobic microbial activity. In short, I am skeptical that "burping" is necessary to produce this improvement. If this concept is hard to visualize, Then on your next harvest flash dry a branch of your plant and then Slow drive the rest of the plant for 10 days , then jar both of them up for at least three weeks once the water content is stable. And tell me how they compare after that three weeks.
