If you turn off your water, get a pipe cutter for a couple of quid, get a speed fit T piece for about £2 , then a washing machine tap and hose connection , you've got an easy to use tap. Less than a Tenner.
That's what I did as none of the universal hose -tap connectors would hold well. They'd make an awful noise or just pop off the tap..
Doesn't solve the storage tank issue though
I used to carry 100 ltrs of water every two days up two flights of stairs , had popeye arm.. and people would mistake me for a massive wanker
