That's unbelievable, the potential of outdoor is amazing. I've heard good things about the MTF. The name alone is legendary
Growing outdoors comes with different challenges, but I would say its just as difficult/easy as growing indoors. Genetics is super important when growing outdoors. Indoors you can get away with growing a mediocre plant, but outdoors the elements, pests, etc. will ravage a weak plant.

The MTF really is a hardy strain, considering the fact that it's finishing strong in the northern latitude.

Harvested Valley Ice Pheno #2. Heavy huge plant. Incredibly sticky. Takes the trophy for most resinous.

I accidentally cut one of the small seeded branches. Ive left all the seeded branches on the plants, and im planning to harvest those at the end of the month. The seeds look ripe but some still need a little more time.

One day of growth and the clones look ready for 12/12. The runt that is still reversing will be taken out and replaced with 4 Amnesia Haze seedlings. It will be a learning experience. Ive never started a seedling on 12/12. I Usually veg them for a few weeks before flowering.

Also took 40 cuttings today. Both mothers
needed some heavy pruning.

Thats all for now. Cheers.

Day 1 of 12/12.
Amnesia haze seedlings have been moved into the flower tent. I will raise the pots after a few days.
Humidity is finally at a nice level. Staying around 50rh lights on, 75rh lights and fan off. Ive set the the fan to run 30 minutes every hour during lights off.

I took a chunky cutting of Valley Ice#2. Hopefully it roots. If not, thats ok. I have two other clones of that pheno growing and doing well.

Wow,I thought that the rh that high would be bad for PM. I'm sure goes down with fan on but in flower would scare me. You know what you're doing just asking, gotta get setup for mine.

I will keep rh around 40 when deep in flower. Im pretty sure as long as there is air circulation PM shouldn't be a problem. Filter is moving air out 24/7. Tent is in bedroom where rh is 60.
I will run my large dehumidifier in the bedroom and crank the filter in tent to highest setting around week 4 of flower. Also, the oscillating fan will be running 24/7 on highest setting.

I dont anticipate any powder mildew, but if it shows up I will deal with it and make the necessary adjustments.

Last plant standing in the greenhouse
SFV OG. All of the main colas had to be tied up, they fell over from all the weight. I haven't seen any bud rot, so im going to let her go for another week. Im checking the buds every day.

I cut and hung all the seeded branches today. I see hundreds of ripe seeds practically popping out of the calyxes.

Manicured Valley Ice pheno #2. The foxtail structure of the flower suggests that its going to be a hard hitting sativa. The purple has turned more into a lavender. Smells sweet with sour diesel. Incredibly frosty.
Im going to make sure that I have no plans on the day I sample a joint of this flower.IMG_20241028_181204639~2.jpg

MTF manicured. Strong pineapple aroma. Nice bag appeal, virtually no trimming involved. When I sampled the hash of this plant I felt it hit my body really hard. This is a sit down and chill high, for sure.
This phenotype is consistent and easy to find in a few seeds. Im going to stabilize it again and share the seeds for free in the future.

Today I chopped down the SFV OG. Found about 5 grams of bud rot. She was ready. Massive plant. Also, it seems I did pollinate one of the lower larf buds. I found a branch that I labeled. There's around 60 seeds all together on that bud.
I will backcross one of the males to the clone/mother of this plant.
Im going to stabilize this strain again.

Watering every 4 days, 2 cups of water per plant. Using fresh spring water 7.8ph. It helps keep the soil alkaline. I gave them some molasses today. Look like the clones are loving my soil mix.

RH is staying at 50. Everything looks happy. The seedlings are starting to adjust, so I raised the pots.

From here on I will be doing only 1 update every Sunday, unless there is something unusual or exciting to report.

Cheers
