I had to go out and buy coffee this morning, staying at my sisters and she's a tea person.
It's hard to explain all this with coffee deficit disorder. Watching water boil for the fancy french press,grrr.

morning, friends! i have a hot cup of coffee in my hand and a snoring dog in my lap.
plans today: pressure washer (borrowed from a friend) is here until the weekend so i'm going to clean up some concrete steps and start on the brick. rain is moving in around noon so i'll use that time to make chex mix for tonight's gathering. i found an old recipe, so this will be the chex mix of our childhoods, if you remember eating it around the holidays from a paper bag in the 70's/80's. none of the store bought stuff for me, that shit is nasty. also need to do laundry and pick up candy for the kiddos. fingers crossed that it doesn't rain for trick or treating. we haven't had rain all month and then of course it's supposed to rain from 6-8pm haha!
