So after 5+ years im pulling out some old lights and grow stuff from totes in storage deciding to pop some beans and do another run. I don't have the space at the moment to use my chilled puck thats like 800 watts so I pull out a few small cob builds I did. Some of the builds and drivers need power cords so...I smoke a couple bongs and I cut one up and wago clip it off...directly to the led. I have 3 drivers sitting right next to me and I flip the switch on my surge protector see a flicker, hear a small pop and directly unplugged it..I knew what I did. So I ruined a cxb 3590 because I got stoned and excited and skipped the step of including the driver. So stupid. I don't even want to share this upon reading it..but I'm a good sport..you gotta learn how to laugh at yourself and learn from stupidity.

Guess I'll blaze another and order some new jobs since I already have a driver on the way for something I was thinking about making. Well. Stay up guys. Feel free to comment on how dumb I am. I deserve it. Lol

I can add to the sadness I would never laugh at buzzwork mistakes. Life lessons should be painful and/or cost money.

Acura Integra overheat send the head out for checking. Did not expect head back and" customer" shows up with it and some killer weed Saturday morning. Blazed up and did the type of job I have done many times before.

8 oclock at night I am diagnosing a crank no start on a fresh acura head repair. Compression ok spark ok airhold test ok.
Vacuum test.......
Vacuum test shows intake under pressure. Hand over the tailpipe shows slight vacuum while cranking.
Camshafts CLEARLY marked int and ex on wrong side of head. Could not believe it did not bend the valves.

Karma is a bitch sometimes.
Next time first do your job - then treat yourself and get high, it usually works better this way.
I feel for ya... have done the stupidest shit when I got high before I started serious work.

My last crop I got too complacent and just assumed one of my plants was fem, didn't check much after flipping and seeded my 5x5. Lol. Oopsie.
Won't do that again.
Make a dumb dumb move once and never do it again. That's learning!
Making lemonade though, I ended up with a whole lot of reg seeds, which I'll be cycle through to see what I created.
There's always a silver lining.....

It happens to all of us, you just achieved more wisdom, the exact unit being one Cobs worth of wisdom.
My own personal doh was wiring up all the 128 strips properly (or so i thought), working diligently from early morning resizing a total of 254 ( ;) winking hard...) 1mm wires down to 0.75mm from the early dawn to be able to finish the build. Power the driver to see only 3 strips light up really, REALLY bright.
It was late, i shut it off and went to bed defeated by Bridgelux. Next moring tried again and saw that ive snuck in one string of 3 strips instead of 4 out of out the 32 strings i did right. I learnt the hard way dont to things the hard way, luckily no permanent damage to gear, only permanent "teaching experience".

Its good to share knowledge of good things but great to share your failures. Props to OP and please dont feel bad. You can buy more cobs but not more chilled pucks, hope that helps somewhat :)

Oh man I've let my stuff get too tall as well doubled in size and my closet is literally gone. Optimizing, utilizing space is key to an indoor without much headroom.
Yeah it was about 45+ bucks back in the day. It's all good. Out me through several grows and was actually my first build. Still excited for the romulans to pop. Be a fun one to grow I hope. Feel free to post your stupid mistakes, high or not. Lol. Stay up

Mozzarella cheese (first class seed co) x omg (ripper seeds)
MC x black valley kush (ripper seeds)
MC x (watermelon zkittles x bubba kush) (ripper seeds)

You won't find any info on first class seed co. The seeds were handed to me at a weed expo many moon ago, when I was smoking a joint with a couple 'big shots' in the industry. Long story shorter, me and my grow partner used to grow this strain outdoors and it always was the biggest, and best plants which tended to smell somewhat like Italian herbs, and cheesy weed. We found 3 separate phenos, all good but one stand out we nicknamed 'white cheese' because well, it was covered in trics, but the main reason was because when we harvested one year it was a snow storm, and all the plants were covered in snow making the buds look white. Lol. We had so much that year, and it was always just me and him staying up for days straight just going out to our spots harvesting, picking it up, trimming, and drying. Great times, lots of funny stories now thats all over and done with. Ended up finding the pack of seeds buried under a few other packs in my seed container and the nostalgia came over me like I was 20 again, running through cornfields with giant contractor bags filled with freshly harvested weed. Lol. The good ol days....
Once, but never again.....

Just have the space to have a nice hobby grow without getting too wrapped up into the work. Had to share the moment though. Not the end of the world by any means just a really reallllly dumb thing. Lol.
