Growing what is supposed to be white widow from amsterdam marijuana seeds . I have it in soil in a 20-25 gallon pot .I am using 400 wat hps . fert for bloom will be miracle grow bloom booster. The picture you see ww is about 1 week into flower if that .
Any comments at all but them main one Im looking for are guesses about poss yield.

That's a nice looking plant. Though I highly recommend you reconsider your choice of nutrients, the plant is looking very nice and bushy. With the 400w HPS light you have, I would predict that you will end up with about 3/4lb of finished, cured bud. But seriously, do some more homework on nutrients. You've got a nice little setup with good lighting and what appears to be good genetics. Don't blow it by using Mickey Mouse plant food. It's like putting 87 octane in a Ferrari.

really you think i could get 3/4 p off one plant hell yeah. I did alot of training to get it that bushy. What nuts do u suggest

I think 3/4 pound is pushin it. I'd say 5-6 maybe
Well, I am basing my estimate on the fact that the plant is very bushy and healthy, and the total wattage of his light. In a perfect world, he could get 1gr per watt, which would be 400g (about 14oz). Taking nature and human error into account, 340g under a 400w light growing a well-trained healthy plant is a solid estimate.... IMHO. :-D

I'm a big supporter and long-time user of the FoxFarms nutrient line. I use all their stuff. Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom, Open Sesame, Beastie Bloomz, and Cha Ching. Also, I only use FoxFarms Ocean Forest Soil. Hands down, those products give me the highest quality, largest yields. Obviously, there's a ton of other choices out there, and many of them are excellent, so don't think that you MUST use FoxFarms stuff to get great results. It's just my personal choice. I've also found it to be pretty forgiving product line. You're not as likely to experience nute burn or other problems caused by dosing your plants with incorrect amounts. I'm sure others have different opinions on this, so you should ask around and get a feel for what others are using and, more importantly, WHY they chose that particular product. A lot of times, people stand by a product and swear it's the "best" only because it's the only thing they've used. Try to get opinions from growers who are experienced and have used several different products before deciding on which is the best for them. By no means should you just take what works for one person as gospel.

Well, I guess we'll see at the end. Two ounces seems quite low for a plant that has been topped and trained as well as this one has been. Keep in mind he has it in a 20+gal container, which gives those roots a shit-ton of space to spread out. It's not your typical 3-5gal container garden. Given that fact, there's no reason why he couldn't achieve close to 1g/watt. I get close to 1g/watt and I use 3gal grow-bags.

Keep that light as close to the top of the plant as you possibly can. Just make sure the temp at the top of the plant doesn't go above 80°F. If you have a sealed, air-cooled reflector, you should be able to bring that light within 2-3" of the top. If you don't have that, you will probably have to keep the light about 10"-12" from the top. The point is, the closer you can get that light to the top of the plant, the bigger your yield will be because you'll be giving your plant a higher concentration of light output. Also, when harvesting, don't be afraid to harvest the plant in sections based on when individual buds are finished. By doing this, you will give the smaller buds towards the bottom of the plant more time to pack on weight once the larger top buds are removed. Finally, I recommend you look into a product called "Gravity" by Emerald Triangle. It is a flower hardener that will increase the size and mass of your buds. Just be careful not to use too much Gravity, and make sure you reduce your nutrient solution down to 1/3 strength when you are using it. Gravity causes the cells responsible for photosynthesis to become extremely sensitive, almost "supercharged", so you also need to raise your light by about 10" from where you normally keep it. First and foremost though, you should decide on an appropriate nutrient combination to use during the flowering phase. You want to squeeze the most bud possible out of this, and making the right nutrient choice is of paramount importance.

not harping on you but,the plant is already in flower stage and at this point dosent need a lot of space for roots.

i really hope its more,i'm just being a silly wabitt i guess

Oh I realize that. I didn't mean that from this point there would be much root growth and expansion. What I was getting at is that since the plant is in a container of that size, it had a lot more room for root growth and expansion during the vegging stage, allowing for maximum branching and, in turn, maximum yield potential. And I don't mind ya harpin' on me. It's good fact-based debates like this that makes us all better growers. I will say I am pretty curious to see what he actually ends up with...

personally if i were you i'd build a little cab. to put some clones into so you don't have to start from seed (if you haven't already taken clones) you only would have to use a couple cfl's fr the clones..

i would like to take clones and plant them outside in summer. What the roots dont grow in flower???? WHats a good chap way to take clones.
