It has been quite warm for this time of year - hit 65 yesterday. Way too many insects still haven't died off and no aerial insectivores around. Good to see the ladybug is still reliable - here is one munching on a lake fly.

These little feckers, although not lady bugs, were very prolific this Spring around the American chestnut tree.
