Need help... new grower

"Oh SHIT" It just clicked..... I know what I'm going to do, I'm going to mix all basic ferts micro, grow, bloom first instead of all together like normal then mix up additives and add them till I hit my desired ec/ppm range. Additives go in last anyways besides adding silicon and and cal/mag before base. Then my additives will be lowered not my base ferts.

Are you saying you were mixing the micro, grow, and bloom together before you added them to the water?
If so, big mistake........read GH's mixing recommendations.

I would specify why dtw didnt work for you maybe its a easy fix. I normally dont get involved in dwc threads the method scares me. I cant keep a large reservoir clean and stable without plants in it for dtw coco lol. I switched to 5gal buckets per tent, its working though.

Dwc wow good luck I would help but its a tough method. Some people make it look easy. I cant even root clones in water..

The only reason I used coco pucks was for the drainage for seedlings and to get them ready for 5 gal bucket cause I don't like rock wool. Will use jiffy next time and not worry about the deficiency from not buffering the coco. In dwc I use enouch cal/mag as it is lol! I just think it's an unnecessary extra step for me as jiffy I wont have to buffer or end up in this situation again. I went to dwc because I helped a friend a little about 15 yrs. ago doing dwc and I'm somewhat familiar with it but this is "My" first grow now that it's legal in Ohio now. I've seen a lot have good results in coco but not for me. Ty for trying to help. Much apricated! I've done so much reading and watched so many videos and cramming so much in my head I'm overloaded a bit. I'm not one to ask for help much but like always I'll figure it out. I joined awhile ago didn't ask for help till now because all the studying, researching and trying to figure it out on my own so I can learn from it. Again ty! for offering your advice enjoy your Holidays.

I'm sorry I don't respond to the click of a finger! And no not mixing the 3 together literally.... just the 3 was that a serious question? I'm saying mix silicon, cal/mag and base ferts together. then mix up additives together separately then add it to res until I hit my ec/ppm. this way my base ferts don't get reduced from diluting it down with distilled water. And this way the only things reduced is my additives and not my base ferts.
