Introduction:
Hi everyone, after four years of browsing this forum, I’m finally taking the leap and introducing myself. I’ve never joined or shared my work publicly before, largely due to paranoia and a desire to protect my family, but with legalization and a sense of security, I feel it’s the right time to step out of the shadows.
My name is Dank—an homage to my uncle, a cannabis pioneer who cultivated some of the most iconic strains during the '70s, '80s, and '90s. My uncle’s name was Dank, and together with the top-shelf flower we produced in California back in the mid-90s, we helped lay the foundation for what we know today as the term "dank" in cannabis. Back then, in the Midwest, people were stuck with brick weed—green or brown and full of seeds. When our flower hit the scene—skunky, loud, gassy, and completely seedless—people started asking specifically for "Dank's Bud." With my uncle Dank, myself Dank, and our friend Dankrious, it’s fun to think we might have coined the term as we know it. Sure makes a lot more sense than being compared to a damp basement—because let’s be honest, that doesn’t exactly scream, "Smoke me." Whether it’s true or just something we like to believe, it’s nice to think we’ve left a little mark on the world.
I’ve been growing for over 30 years, keeping my work quiet after moving to Minnesota and raising eight kids. But now that legalization has changed the game, I’m ready to share my knowledge and genetics with the community. My expertise lies in outdoor farming, where I’ve developed a specialized terraced growing system on the Mississippi River bluff. This system harnesses natural elements to produce absolute monster plants—averaging 3-5 pounds per plant, with some reaching an incredible 11 pounds. Not bad for Minnesota’s short growing season! These techniques allow me to grow outdoor flower that rivals nearly anyone’s indoor buds thanks to the unique challenges of our climate.
Indoors, I refined my craft under the guidance of my uncle in the '90s, where we produced flower that made any grower proud. Today, I’m combining those foundational skills with advanced genetics from top-tier breeders like BeLEAF, Humboldt, Ethos Genetics, DJ Short, Rare Dankness, and more. My passion for phenohunting has allowed me to discover incredible expressions, from plants that grow like vines to mind-blowing triploids.
As the creator of Dank Gummies (The Original Dank Gummies made with Live Rosin and Full Melt hash) Full Melt Hash Expert and a lifelong cultivator, I’ve never shared or sold my genetics before. I’ve kept my work under wraps to protect my family and passion, but now I want to ensure the legacy of these rare strains lives on. I’m here to connect with others who share my passion and who can be trusted to take detailed grow notes. I want to collaborate and share my massive seed collection, preserving these genetics for the future. There’s a good chance that among my tens of thousands of seeds lies that one plant that could change the cannabis landscape forever.
It would be a shame for these treasures to go to the wayside, so I’m inviting others to join me in preserving this plant’s history. Let’s grow something unforgettable together.
In the pictures below was my cross of Permanent Chimera and High Octane OG which forced me to take the top off my greenhouse topping out at nearly 14 feet and almost 10 foot accross. The buds we absolutley amazing - Picture of buds with logo were indoor version cryo cured and the other two pics were Outdoors naturally dried and cured.
