I was looking at some earlier one of the adds mentioned the serated blade in relation to dry trimming?

@Tmik Thank you, I kinda suspected they're all much the same I suppose I was hoping there's a model that's preferable for whatever reasons.

There's a vid out there that peaked my interest... I grabbed the exact same model from the video.

I'd literally just spent my money now I'm thinking I'd be better getting the one in the video If it's better.

Do you agree with the dude in the video about the overall job that one makes, how do you get on with it I'd appreciate your personal opinion?

This is my first trimmer and have nothing to compare it too, still brand new in the box. Waiting for my buds to dry so I can trim them, hopefully within the week.

I just watched it now.
In my opinion the only thing he's doing is knocking the dry leaf off on that screen and not the blade. Otherwise it wouldn't look so tight.

I've never seen those screens on anything bottom end of the market.

I use my trimmer wet because leaves are still pert and go between the grill nice .
You coupd turn it 500 times and it still won't be any different to what it would 30 times. I suspect if it was dry you'd smash your buds up more.

I also spin it fast and slow.

Unfortunately I have nothing in to show you the results right now.

All I can say is the standard bowl trimmer turned a traumatising job that would take a few 8-10 hour shifts, into 4-5 hours work.

LOL..that would be funny, and possibly true! He did say it didn't matter which blade you put on, and now that you mention it, has me wondering if the blade is involved at all! Well, I'm days away from using it. I got it for my buds I hate to trim, the mid to lower buds. And one of my tents didn't go so well, so that entire grow will be the guinea pig for this leaf trimmer.

Yes @coreywebster after a 2nd look I picked up he hadn't adjusted the blade if it was 1/4 inch below the grate so it didn't make sense that it would trim so tight.
Agree

I see you can adjust the blade height on the pot type, speaking of which @Week4@inCharge was it the same dude you watched with the tragic results?
Idk maybe he's still not caught on to blade adjustment?

If you ave a look at others that share the grate you'll see they make a nice job, I dry trim I've not looked at any wet trim vids with vevor, I'm unable to open that link something about a being a bot lol but I'm curious to see it I ended up ordering one the same as yours.

Fair enough, user error is a high possibility. I did see the height adjustment. I'm gonna try this thing "as is" on the initial use and then adjust as needed. I've been hand trimming since I started growing about 3.5+ years ago, it was a nice learning curve. I usually slap on some vintage late 60's jazz and go to town on my buds. Now with these trimmers... Might be some Tupac...

Staying with this thread because I was about to pull the trigger on one of the older style ones....but I have to learn more. I prefer to dry my plants, whole, and then dry trim. I wonder which design is best for dry trimming?

Sounds like we're all gonna find out about the same time with all these new leaf trimmers coming in.
