I went to order a ks5000 to fit a 4x4 and vipar has informed me they have no plans to replenish stocks for the ks5000, just wanting to hear what other options people are using for there 4x4 s. Currently running 2 ks 3000 s in 2 3x3 s growing autos Ive got room for a 4x4 with the 2 3x3s. Want more room for a perpetual photo grow and the autos can have the 3x3s. First 2 pics are strawberry cheese cake v2 autos and some pinneapple express finishing up. Based on an isolated brittish convict settlement south of the equator way down under

I was looking for a KS5000 about 6 months ago and there wasn't any stock in Canada for it, I figured they just didn't want to bring it here anymore, didn't know they were discontinuing the whole KS line.

I'm not sure what's going on with them, I recently noticed they stopped putting Meanwell drivers on the p2000 as well, now it's some generic 250w driver. I haven't seen any new gear from them in awhile too. It looks like they're content selling the XS1500/2500/3000s, that's the only light I see from them with stock always available.

Ks are cheap but this option looks good anyone using these and have any reviews feedback? I think it would fit a 4x4

Every company that ever mare hps ballasts are now knocking out cheap bar lights.

I'd just Google 600w led or 720w led , see what pops up.

Currently lumii are making a 6 bar light (680w) with driver and it's less than £200 (reduced from 350)

Phlizon are knocking out 600w 6 bar lights for about £300 that come with inventronics drivers.

Pretty much all of them are doing the same thing either using a driver or a hps ballast.

Obviously our markets will slightly differ but it's all the same shit from China in a different box.

Yeah I heard someone saying they aren't making that model anymore here in USA also. A different version that people are having problems with.

I just bought 3 ACI Ionframe evo6 lights and lined each with 4 S16 IonBeam bars. It's pretty nice since they are magnetic and definitely help to bump up the ppfd on the perimeter and corners. Absolutely love them. ACI all the way!!
Had to get on the 301HEVO train before they're discontinued sometime this year. Samsung just made the announcement a few months ago.

I use phlizons fd9600 its a 1000w but i only run at max 480w it just fits in a 4x4 i use the ones without UV its the older version built a little better than the newer version better hinge setup , the newer one over opens a little and feels flimsy and isnt as physically big not reaching the walls for coverage like the other one.
Older style has drivers built into the center of the fixture .
They grow big dense buds .

Unfortunately, these companies will be forced to discontinue models due to the need for constantly upgrading next year's model. They can't make new lights and keep all the old models, too. Remember COB lights....anyone? LOL! I'm kidding....but only kinda. They are essentially old news, now. Bar lights are still happening, but, now they are the folding kind -as opposed to the fixed-frame. Fixed-frame lights require a big box and that adds to S/H costs. So, now, they are made to be foldable. How long will that trend last? Who knows? Ask the guy who has an attic full of old grow lights....oh wait, that's ME! ;)

I used to think it was essential to buy American and go for the highest-quality name-brand components, etc. type of lights. But I may have changed my mind after using a "cheap Chinese-made light" (Updayday) that I ended up getting for free (now THAT's cheap!). At the end of the run, it worked just fine (other than the crap-quality switches) and it was actually more fun than any other light I've ever used because it has a FULLY customizable spectrum output. No other light that I know of has this variable of a spectrum....and no American manufacturer could ever afford to make a high-quality version of it. It could have only happened due to the ability for the Chinese manufacturers to do whatever they want, technologically, and then beat everyone else's price, as well. I dislike the idea of it....but I still benefit from it. I've only had it for a year and it's already been discontinued and replaced by a newer model that folds!

I just purchased 3 of the KS5000. I bought the last two on Viparspectra's site, then another from Amazon. I only need 2 at a time, but it is good to have one in reserve for when one of them takes a shit and needs repair. Amazing reviews and grow photos, and I love that the drivers are mounted up to 10 feet away. The fixture is 40" square, so they should fit well over my 8ftx4ft flowering canopy. I thought they wouldn't restock the KS5000, but the site now has them back in stock, and Amazon also has them. They are offering an "updated" version with a smaller footprint, the KS3000e, with 301b, instead of 301h like the KS5000. I don't get it, but whatever. I'm moving for the first time from a pair of 1000w hps. I don't expect the same yield, but I grow more weed than I can sell, anyway (a six pound back up currently.) Looking forward to saving some money with the new tech.
