Project Mayhem - Tyler Durden's Perpetual Grow

Yes, it grew at least 3 times the size in flower from veg. I utilize a double trellis, so scrogging it all to an even canopy wasn't difficult. She gave a nice yield, at least 2 oz per plant. If yours tests clean and is the same cut, I'd love to trade to get her back.
While ur plants r in veg .. do u ever use topping training on them in ur system?

Yes, I top once in veg, and another time right when putting them into the flower rails.
Back in the day when I did horizontal SCRoG (when we climbed on wooly mammoths to steal street lights for our grows), I did a pretty regimented topping program; I topped the recently rooted plant and cleaned up the side branches until it had 4 and only 4 side branches, in an X pattern when viewed from above. Each of those side branches was allowed to grow until it could be topped to also have 4 branches, all done at the same time. It was then placed in the flower area. The result was zero larf and 16 nice tops every time.

Got all the cuttings potted. They all look super healthy, and were packaged so nicely. It was 17f outside, so even though they were overnighted, I was worried. They look a lot better than my last clones, which looked almost dead upon arrival. Can't wait until they're large moms so I can take cuttings, I figure 3-4 weeks. I'm gonna buy 5 more next week, 10 is all I can really support comfortably. Really excited for these genetics, this guy Thomas from BCC is supposed to be one of the best.

I just bought 6 more clones from BCC, told them not to ship them until Wednesday when it gets back into double digit temps. I'll have 11 strains from them, then I'll send samples of them into Tumi Genomics to test for HLVD. They charge $25 per test and it is a ten test minimum, so this will be my new moms stable if they all test clean -

So I finally decided that I'm going to switch over to LEDs. I wanted to purchase now before the crazy tariffs begin. After many hours of study, I decided on the Viparspectra KS5000 for many reasons. Namely because of the glowing reviews, great components, ability to put the drivers outside the room, and the sheer size of them (40in square). Two of them will just fit over my 8ftx4ft flowering area. While trying to buy them from the Viparspectra site directly, it wouldn't let me put more than two in my cart, no matter what I did. After buying them, I see why... These were the last two available. There is a newer version, the KS5000e, but it is smaller and people are reporting problems with the new driver. I need 3, because when one goes down, I won't have to wait for it to be repaired with no light. I bought the third light from Amazon as an open box, if that one goes down, it will be covered under Viparspectra's 3 year warranty with them thinking I bought it directly from them. With my new strains and lights, I should crush it for significantly less operating costs. We'll see...

That is smart.in case of any power failure u can keep moms vs original stinkbud set up u just clone from ur veg plants .... what u use for medium in those pots ? That doesn't look like hydroton ... is it any medium u can grab in Home Depot?
I use a good sized UPS for the systems with pumps, so they should be fine in case of a power outage. I keep the moms in pots in case I'd ever have to move them suddenly to another location. I pot the moms with the bottom half consisting of rockwool croutons, top half vermiculite.

I do like this idea. Keep your timers on this circuit too, just so you can maintain your time settings through an outage.

All 11 moms are doing well. I just took the first batch of cuttings and stuck them in the aero cloner. Can't wait to start flowering all these award winning breeder's cuts! I also put up my first LED light over the moms, replacing the 250w hps they've always had. At first I put the light close with full intensity, but the ladies were like WTF??? Too much light! So I turned it down to about 60%, and all is good. Gotta great deal on this light, $95 shipped and it does a 3x3. Ima buy another soon as a spare - https://www.bestvaled.com/products/bestva-bat-series-dimmable-led-grow-light-for-your-indoor-grow
