I went to them this year, love them!. I have no issue with any leakage or clogging. I only run water through mine. I am in LOS so doing as organic as possible. I am using mainly Elm Dirt Plant teas, both their Plant Juice and their Bloom Juice. I do mix in some MC part 1, Kelp Extract and Sweet Candy to this along with Dynomico Spark everything that keeps the micro organisms and bacteria happy, that helps the roots and plant overall.
I do this by shutting off the valve to each pot (I put 1 on ever pot) allow the tray to dry some, add about 500 to 750ml of the tea, and then top feed with this mix as well. I don't see salts in LOS and feeding micro organisms. After about 2 hours I will check and see where the tray water level is in the tray, if it is normal I turn the flow back on and check it an hour later. There have been 2 times where due to runoff from the top feed, it trickles down to the tray and makes the floats open. If this happens I just shut the valve off and allow the feed or water to be used before turning the flow back on. So far I am enjoying the no daily watering, but miss being with the girls!

I do also top dress with some Gaia Green Bloom Explosion, TPS Organic Cal/Mag maybe once a month, at only a quarter dose as LOS should have plenty of calcium available, coco is a different story, but other than that, I don't use any other products.
If you will be using Coco, then Cal Mag is a must, salted nutrients, not a fan of. I would use Green Leaf Mega Crop 1 part, some of their Kelp extract, and Sweet Candy or Bud Explosion depending on medium. Prior to planting my soil is my mix and uses Mychorizal, a must for me along with beneficial bacteria, so I use Down to Earth Bio live, pre-inoculated Bio Char, ground egg shells and dolomite lime all mixed into my soil mix among other ingredients that are amended into the soil.
Some of the older users who say they had leaks, or clogged lines, this has already been addressed about 2 years ago by Autopots. They went to a larger flow line, took care of any clogging issues. They also went to better rubber grommets that hold the lines to the float valve tray as well. The on off valves I installed are from Amazon and are push to lock lines, I had one that leaked a little, all I did was make sure the cut was flush and put it back, no issues. Because AP uses a special flow line, some non AP valves may or may not fit the line exactly, the ones I used fit perfect.
I use a flex tank reservoir 13G (water at 5.9 to 6.1 PH) with a small fountain pump attached to a wifi switch so I can turn it on and off for about 10 minutes or so to circulate the water in the tank every now an then, to not get stagnant or if I add anything that needs to be mixed. My setup is a Geopot system X 2. My plants look happy as can be.
I would highly recommend them from my experience so far. Especially if you like good size plants, and freedom to not have to do daily watering/feeding. Good luck I think you will love them and especially if you have to travel or be away for say a week.
