I have mental scripts for several modern versions of Oliver Twist ranging from coming of age romantic comedy to a grind-house esque set anywhere between the late 1970's to modern times, too realistic for anything but the internet NC-17 version.

Love the 1960's movie and original book, as a kid I so wanted to be rescued by a red headed madam escort who held together a group of thieves for her abusive pimp. I also blame Shani Wallis for my fetish for red heads.

If wonder if anyone would fund it if I actually sat down and wrote a script instead of just playing with the idea every once in a while and then throwing it away.

I bet Tarantino would get behind your vision, for the grind-house version, anyway. We could have Danny Elfman, or Tool, update the tunes. So funny that we share the same childhood fantasy.

Every year is getting shorter
Never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught
Or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way
The time is gone
The song is over
Thought I'd something more to say

Oh snap, you're thinking real funding and production value. I was thinking my two SLR's and however other many Cine style cameras we could scare up, logic pro, final cut, some kids from my daughter's acting class, some *cough* internet performers I may have written some music for; and a true down and gritty guerilla no-permits, run and gun Hunter S. Thompson feel to it.

That doesn't mean Tarantino money is out, but we have to retain creative control, I don't want it to become a typical Tarantino foot-fetish free for all with a plot hidden somewhere within his kinks.

Well the dove's are back.
I give up, build your nests raise some chicks shit all over the rafters.
I hope the owls eat you.
The blue jays always come to my climbing rose bush to pull off dead twigs to build their nests. They are pretty determined to pull them off no matter the difficulty. They have built nests in the bower vine that is draped across the west side of my patio cover. I had to make sure the Roxy was in the house when they fledged or she would have mauled them.
Mornin.
