President Musk

Seems like Elon is on thin ice these days 1) bout to get slapped by a very large amount by the EU is coming 2) he also screwed up in Wisconsin, MAGA isn't happy, and also seems a lot of finger pointing going on inside the White House.....

time is ticking as it were

Dang. I had so much hope for him because of electric cars. He fucked himself. I'd think that'd be hard to do. Maybe it's good for him.
I think it's disappointing that he doesn't seem to really care about the environment, or other people for that matter. My impression before was that he was a genius, and a visionary. I didn't really know much about him or his companies before what has happened lately, much like I didn't know alot about Trump himself before he came down the golden escalator and entered his first presidential run in 2015. So, other than his idea to try to colonize Mars, my impression was fairly positive. Trying to build a settlement on the red planet seems stupid to me. Take your money and ideas and resources to fix the problems on earth first, after that maybe consider more intense study and exploration there. So yes, he's certainly drove his reputation of what I knew of him to an all time low. His unabashed support for far-right ideology, the Sieg Heil salutes, hasn't done his image any favors.
Yeah, hopefully he has fucked himself. Difficult to do, especially when you are the richest, most successful man in the world. I doubt it's good for him, unless he has some sort of awakening, but I'm not holding my breath. It's probably good for the rest of the world to see him for what he really stands for, before he gets the opportunity for even more power and wealth.

Still, I get some relief seeing him lose money. He's a creep and will never get my money. Sad, but the electric vehicle market is just taking off and will pass his Tesler pieces of shit soon, if they can even enter the country. I just can't get past the idea that the fuck bought the presidency.
I'm glad my dad isn't here to witness this, after all he, and my mom, went through. They had their childhoods robbed by The Great Depression, then had to do without in WWII. That, and the mental anguish it had. For a while, I had to sleep in my parents' bedroom and I can still remember waking up to my dad wailing in his sleep from bad dreams. I can only imagine the shit he went through in the South Pacific.

That kind of story doesn't resonate with the rich.

Yeah, I would think my dad would be pissed at people like Elon. My dad grew up during the depression too. 1 of 10 children in their immediate family. He lost one brother in a bombing mission, being shot down over Germany during WWII. He shoveled coal in the engine room of a Canadian Navy frigate so he did his part in defense of the free world as well. It sounds like your dad went through some horrors for sure.

No, it's odd they can't wrap their heads and hearts around the idea that others have served, and sacrificed, just so people of the day, and into the future, could enjoy the freedoms we do to this day. It's a self-centered viewpoint that if everyone of this world had, there wouldn't be any hope of a civil society.
