how do i hot press my hash?

i dried the trim to much and squeezed out to much water before forming. now i'm stuck with 30 grams of crumbs that won't mold together. it's pliable and gummy but it dried in crumbs now the crumbs won't stick to each other. i know i can seal it in plastic and wet newspaper then heat it in a pan but i'm not sure of the exact process. any help would be great. :peace::joint::joint:

I use the friggin TOASTER to heat mine bro.

You need foil...a toaster..a vice and a coupla pieces of wood or something very heavy to press it. (refrig leg... Car tire...table leg w/ you sitting on it...etc.)

I take a peice of aluminum foil...5 x 8"...and I fold it 1/3 of the way up the square. In this fold, place a nice pile of yer goodness...and fold it into a square...folding the sides in and then the top over. Try to get it kinda snug.

What you should end up with is a folded piece of alum foil that is 8" long and maybe 1 1/2" wide with the trichs at the bottom.

Now go to your fav toaster... fold the foil over so the trichs hag mid-air..in the center between the red hot coils. Turn it on...let it go for 20-30 secs...turn it off...wait 30 seconds...do it agian...this time for 30-60 seconds. If you smell it..stop and press it. It should really just get hot all the way through. The hotter it gets the darker it will be and the more pliable it should be. (if you got enough green out and actually have trichs only) You'll have to fug with it because everyones product is different...etc.

Not too scientific..totally stonerific..and yes..necessity is the Mother of Invention. Try it and see if it works for ya/what you have.

I have seen people use wet paper towels folded into a rectangular square and pressed using a straightening iron till you get the desired form of your hash.

Oh..and if that's bubble hash...try FRESH FROZEN trim next time. I think you'll find you get a very pliable product that way...and the crumblies will disappear.

i really like this idea but i'm nervous. if i just push the bottom and run real quick. maybe put on 3 oven mitts. i am a just a little nuts. i may try this. i have a vice and a toaster, now where's the foil? :mrgreen: thank you.

I wasn't directing the post yer way, kieahtoka....but since you felt the needd to comment I'll assure you that it's perfectly safe if yer not an idiot.

thank godd I didn't outline how to make bho. you'd really freak on that if you think this is somehow dangerous behavior...

fdd..you can do this without doin' a Boogie Boy...believe me. Just let the foil hang in there..don't try to be a hero and hang on to it! LOL.

Excuse me, but I can comment on any post I wish. whether it was directed towards me or not. all I said was my opinion, which FDD can choose to take into account or not. I don't need you telling me whether or not a post was directed at me. you can't say this is safe for every toaster. some older ones are quite capable of arching the electrical current and destroying the toaster.

what about putting it in some tin foil real tight with wt paper around and sticking it in the oven? is that a bad idea?

pic 7 Oh no..here's where you DIE. Ah..dum de dum dum. (note to kieahtoka..you can just put yer pile of trichs on yer tin roof)

pic 8 gonna look something like this. I will forld this over into fourths and heat and press it again to make a smaller chunk. If you notice the slab is starting to darken. A bit more heat and the entire thing would go darker and the taste, IMO, deepens and changes... Yum.

always looking for a better way here....

i'm an idiot again. i have a hot plate. it is for a single coffee cup. it has a high and low setting. i got it at goodwill for a dollar last year. it is sitting on my desk. i got it to warm hash but i have been putting my coffee on it and my hash has all been good. i totally forgot.


i put it on low for about 15 mins. warmed it nicely. probably could have gone a little longer. put it between cardboard the blocks of wood then into the vice. cranked it down and left it for 10 mins. it looks better. it stuck together anyway.

the problem was that it was not my trimmings. i separate all y fans leaves and throw them away. i only use crystal covered bud leaves when i have a choice. now i remember why.

i have more to do yet but here's what i got so far. thank you bt dt

fdd what did you put the hash powder on before putting it on the coffee warmer
