Hey everyone,
I was planning on building a 5x5x8 grow space, walls covered in mylar, and using a 1000w air cooled light. Is that to big of a space to get big dense nuggets? If so, what would you recommend? If not, how many plants could I fit in there doing the LST method? I would be pulling with a 265cfm blower and would have a filtered passive intake on the opposite side.

I use a 1000 watter. A 4x4 area is good. I lst them and before flowering i put a screen over them. 9 to 12 plants seem to be good.

Personally I would gorw 4-6 plants in there and grow them as big as I can. Topping them consistently to create a nice bush and clearing the bottom of leaves and branches creating a true canopy. I would only use LST if I was growing outdoor and didn't want some eight footers sticking over the fence.

You could use a 600w in that space, so as long as heat is controlled, you'll be set.

Sensi seeds (amongst others) recommends 600w per 2 meters squared (about 6.5' x 6.5'). I wouldn't use a 1kW for less than 6' x 6', but if you got it, use it.

I have had a few strains. White rhino, bubblious, papaya, widow, a few others. I got 26 oz with a 1000 watter and in the summer heat i got only 44 oz with 2 1000 watters going over 2 4x4 areas.
I got 2 lights (1000 wats) going now and am planning on a huge harvest! The heat messed me up last time.
I average about 3 oz per plant.

man listen, do your grow and save a couple as mothers and veg them into big bushes. Then take clones, you have a 25 sq feet of ground space so what id tell you to do is get small pots and put 4 per sq foot which would be 100 plants. If you only got 7 grams a plant you would have 700 grams which is a pound and 9 ounces. Very attainable goal and could even be more, im just using 7 as a figure to show you what the potential is.

would you recommend 9 plants in a 4x4 if they are going to yield 3oz a piece?

Lol tell me how happy im gonna be from switching from a 400 to a 1000?:hump:

I'm guessing you used the Scrog method by seeing the screen in the picture? Would you advise that or lst, or lst/scrog?? I have cannabiogen sandstorm seeds on the way with the free 5 power skunk. I'm not hearing great things about the power skunk though.

if you want to grow bushes you generally veg for atleast a month, in a sea of green you generally only veg for a couple weeks till the clones get rooted.

those six plant harvested over 3.5 lbs. of some of the finest Kush. That was only half my crop, under 2 out of 4 1000w lights.
