At least it was stolen rather than confiscated by the police and you charged for it.

What sucks the most is it had to be someone you know.

he should just find out which one of them is stoned off his ass the next few weeks, odds are if he stole his plants then he probably doesnt have much money to spend on pot and isnt high all the time, and now he is. Even if the guy acted alone its more than likely that another of his friends in their circle has smoked some of the pot by now. Hes most likely gonna try to avoid you for the most part and be somewhat nervous when he cant. Next time set up a hidden camera or better yet buy some of those fake pot plants they make and set them up and wait for the dude to try and do it again.

Ok, I still haven't seen anything that may help this dude so I am going to add my 2 cents.

Think of all the cop shows you have seen and start there. So far you know of five people who knew about your grow, Figure out who had the motive and the opportunity to do it. Find out where they were at that time. At work, out of town? You were only gone 20 min right? If that doesnt help then I would go to each one of them and ask them point blank " Who did you tell about my grow" and watch their response carefully. Think like a cop.

right.....unless you are a cop you cant just go to a place of employment and say hey i need the hours that so and so worked last week. Obviously if the guy is a thief then he is a liar as well so trying to pick up on whether he is lying or not doesnt work because liars know how to lie and convince. So thats not helping him any man, all hes got to do is see whos high all day, thats it.

Ohh thats a GREAT idea. Why didn't anyone else think of that? We (people on the internet from all over the world)... have pieces of information which will lead this unfortunate person to the thief... and on top of that, the thief still has it... and will readily admit to it and give it back when confronted!

What was I thinking?? :roll:

Seriously though, theres nothing we can do to help this person get their shit back. All we can do is say "that sux dood"... or offer some advice.

You are legally permitted to grow. Theres a BIG difference... and don't put words in my mouth. I never even HINTED that I'm better or smarter than anyone. When someone offers advice to another person, does that mean they think they are "better" than the recipient of the advice? Whatever. Better/smarter? No. More experienced? Yes. I've made the same mistake (which qualifies me to give advice on the matter).
