u go to her and act all like the better man and tell her about your concern for your freinds feelings, and how u feel kinda bad bla bla bla, not tottally dissing her but kinda keeping things a little mysterious, and make him out to be a kinda blubbering sap

then you go to your buddy and hash it out with him and tell him all the good reasons why your right and hes being a dick for being pissed. reasons like how shes the one who approched you and the he has a gurlfriend anyway and even other sex partners too on top of that,
