New Grow Room help

So I have a space under my stairs in my basement that I am currently in the process of building a new grow room. This is my second grow, my first with HID's, first was CFL in rubbermaid containers. Actually went very well got almost 2oz off 5 plants.

Anyways what I was wondering was, I came across 2 MH lowbay light fixtures while on a job site, they are 150w's each. My grow space is 4ft wide by 3 feet across and 4 ft high. If I place these next to each other I should have enough watts per square foot to cover the entire 12 sqft right?

For flowering I plan on using 2 150w hps lamps for flowering with 1 of the MH in the middle (better spectum coverage im told?).

any ideas and opinions would be appreciated, also how many plants would I be able to fit if I planed on LSTing?

if your space is only 4 ft high you need to not use hid. at least not a high one. for your space i wouldnt go higher than one single 400w mh/hps changable light. your plants are really going to have to be short to not burn them. a good way to grow with short spaces like that is to have the plants in a 12/12 light period from seed. plants wont flower untill they are ready and that should leave enough time to grow just high enough to produce big top buds. i talked to a guy that grows like this every time, he says he gets nearly an ounce from each plant. and it takes less time.

if you want to grow out bigger plants in that short space you should just get some hid floros. some t5 setups or just one 8 bulb 3 ft fixtures for veg and flowering. that way you can veg your plants out longet and grow more budd sites.

hope it works out!!
