How quickly do the males have to be removed?

Hey all

Im in the middle of a really bad timing issue. My plants were just started on 12/12 a few days ago and now i have to go away from the 27th to the 3rd of jan. From what ive read this is about the time they will start to show sex and ive heard that the males can pollinate within 24 hours of showing. Is this true? Would i be safe to leave them in till the 3rd?

yeh i know it's risky move. Dunno who will be watering them. Maybe get a mate over or set up a drip system. Super absorbant soil so will only need a water once. And i wouldnt trust whoever was watering them to decide what sex they are and kill the males lol.

I have a male isolated outside jus for the fuck it to see how big it will get and it smells really nice .. U can see the pollen sacks coming in , in bunches and wondering is of smokable??? Will it get u high???

Yes it will ! More than that "legal" weed shit advertised in High Times. The tops are the most potent, I've never tried it but the pollen is supposed to get you high too.

yeh actually i was wondering what to do with the males. That Mr. Green video guy makes hash but looks like a really long process and i cbf.

ya u have time efore that pollen sack grow and then opens and spays out u have time
i dont know about smoking the pollen sacks i wouldnt
i would try the rest of the plant see what happens not the sacks though

today is my 7th day into flowering and hopefully i see signs of sex! i accidently threw "her" into a 10/14 instead of 12/12 for 2 of those days. i wont cry if i get a hermie but i really hope to see pistils tonight when the lights come on and nap time is over :hump:

im almost too scared to use this. i dont want to cut it too much or use it wrong and kill my babies. on the tube it says that its pure water based gel that dissolves slowly with soil contact i think im going to put it in verticly and poke a few holes into it.
