With a 150hps it wouldn't make sense to use anything but standard HPS bulbs. The cost difference for expensive bulbs would be better saved for more light.
With the 1kw as the op is talking about I also prefer to use just regular cheap bulbs, but I would do that so I could replace them every grow or every other grow at the most. The way bulbs loose light output it's better to have a cheap bulb changed more often than an expensive bulb changed less often. But, there would certainly be reasons to spend more every time if it means that much to you and pays you back in some way. (wink wink)
I usually just refer people to 1000bulbs.com. If the prices don't look good make sure you aren't looking at the price of a case of bulbs thinking it's a single.
On the subject of which expensive bulb. Eye Hortilux seems popular with those that use the expensive ones. Be careful there with some others and compare the lumens. Some add a blue halide part that sucks the life out of the total lumen output and I seriously doubt the effectiveness of that idea. If you're looking at one that has 95k total lumens that sounds worse to me than the cheapest bulb on the market which puts out over 120k and some better bulbs go all the way near 150k. Don't cheat yourself out of lumens.
