Which is better...Closet or Dressor?

I am not sure which I should grow in, a closet or a dresser.

Currently I live in an apartment and I can not drill out any vent holes in my closet. I have 2 closets side by side and a home ventilation system above the closet im currently using. The area is 24deep x 36wide x 84high (in.). Its getting 85F in there and I need to vent it out.

The dresser is 16deep x 34wide x 53tall (in.).

I am using a 150W HPS light. I would like to upgrade this. I am currently using soil but I want to go hydro. I want a mother and to clone her. I want to keep growing in the closet because there is lots of space.. but i want to grow in the dresser because i can convert it easily into a vented grow chamber.

Which would you use... closet or dresser.

I measured the dresser up and its 16deep x 34wide x 53tall (in.).

The Rubbermaid tub that i want to use is 16deep x 24wide x 16tall (in.).

The 150W HPS is 6 inch tall

So this tells me that 22inches of the 53inches alowed space is taken up for the height. 31 inches remain and subtract 6 inches because the light must stay that far away .. then i have 25 inches left.. so I can only grow my plants 2 feet tall

Can i grow a nice plant that is not more then 2 ft. tall?

of course u can grow a nice plant
u still have to take in mind that when u stop vegging and start flowering the plant will get twice the size or so
so might want to LST ur plant or top itor even scrog or sog another words
cuase just growing straight up when u get like 12inches (1foot) ur going to have to start flowering and u still might not have enough room.the closet is the way to go for the height if u want it
just switch off and on the vent when u need it

Go with the closet because you will have better ventilation and the closet is MUCH bigger so I would go with that.

my thoughts are that if i use the dressor then i can drill holes in both sides and put some computer fans on there.... but in my closet i can not do anything but open the door .. which im not home much

did u say u had a vent in the ceilling? use that
and u should drill the hole in the back so no one sees them more stealth

okay, the closet that i am currently growing in... there is a vent right above.. i thought about drilling right thru my ceiling and cuting into my vent.. but i would half to repair all of this before i move.. since i rent .... this is the only thing stoping me

I was also thinking about drilling a 4in hole from one closet to the other so that i can grow in both.... hahaha .. wish i owned this damn place

If i stick it out with the closet then I could either drill a hole so that i can vent into the ceiling.. or i could go up one more level and cut the metal vent open and vent into it

ow ok i see now i though that vent was in the closet
ya u could do that cut a hole in the top and tap inthe the vent
but u have to think u r going to have to fix the ceiling and the vent where u made the hole

or if u dont have to worry about people seeing it u could always run the vent hose out ur closet straight to the open part of the vent

its not just the thermal energy i am worried about.. its also maybe a maintainance guy walking in and seeing the door wide open.. not that they come here.. but they have permision to if they need to

or if u dont have to worry about people seeing it u could always run the vent hose out ur closet straight to the open part of the vent

You should make a vegging closet and a flowering closet.

ok then 1 for vegging and 1 for flowering
this way it wont matter about the complete darkness when u flower and wont have to shut the door cuase the vent hose
and the other one u could have the door shut the 12 hours for the flowering

I know some of these guys and i think they are cool... there wouldnt be any reason to come into my place and into my closet or my room.. theres just no reason they would need to... what do you mean by cab.. you mean takin a taxi cab and gettin the fuck outta here if he sees my shit lol

EDIT: They might come in here to change the furnace filter... but thats it unless i call in a work order

but yah.. i was thinking one for vegging and one for flowering... but im only growin for medicinal purposes.. so i only need an ounce a month

no no i mean cab (cabinet)or dresser what one ur talking about
if thats all the big case go with that to make more stealth less damage to the house ull have to fix and less thy will find use a lock
