Yeah? Confusing? Try reading it as third party (and just skimming it)Its been a confusing test so far.
Weird results from what I've read thus far.

I understand most the major differences in different types of lighting & i also own a flat out ton of HID lights, with me its about trying new things, finding out what will work & what will not work at all, thats where the fun is for me,i allready know what the best lighting is & i have them all at my disposal.Yes I feel t-12 fluorescent bulbs aren't that good for growing pot. Sure they work ok for vegging and have certainly been used to produce perfectly fine buds. But with t5 and t5ho here there is ample reasons to change over. If you are looking for a low intensity source, t5, t8, and t12 are about the same, but only the 5/8" diameter tubes offer the ability to use such an efficient reflector design. Physics can't be argued with in this case.
Even t5's whop all over t8-t12 when used with a good reflector. Furthermore, being that the plasma inside is so much closer to the phosphors inside, the phosphors excite more brilliantly. This makes them more intense.
Move up to t5ho and see nearly triple the penetration to t12 when using a good reflector on them, for only 14 more watts.
T12's are fine to root clones, grow seedlings, veg plants, and flower moms and dads. But compared to what's out there, they aren't THAT good for growing pot. That's all I was saying.
