I got this last week and it hasn't really grown at all. It was transferred from hydro to FFOF soil. I feed it just regular water with some superthrive in it about one every 2-3 days. It hasn't grown at all really. I thought it was transfer shock but its taking a while to pick up. Nothing is happening. What do you think?

One of the bigger fan leaves stem broke off a few days ago, i barely moved it and it just fell off. Really softly.:wall:

Also, it is sitting under 3 CFLs under a few days of 24h light. For the first few days the schedge was messed up

That would be the moisture meter, i use it sometimes, its pretty good i just use it as a gauge kinda. I also lift my pots to see how muvh water is taken up.

Looks like your watering technique is fucked up. You should be able to give that soil a good drench at every watering. I guarantee there are roots hitting that pot. The leaf curl is from a cooling issue and I'm 99.8% sure it's from your watering habits. The yellow leaves could have been over-watering in the past, but that's not really an issue now. If you learn how to water properly, the plant will have access to more nutrient.

Sort of what I was implying with my post and the question about his moisture meter randomly on the floor in the background seemingly never used. ;)

When you asked, I wasn't sure if it was a moisture meter or pH meter, but if he isn't watering evenly the meter won't do him any good anyway. Just pick the plant up every day and watch the leaves.

She looks really thirsty, over water if you have to until she starts looking better. Or maybe some of your roots were damaged during the transplant, I've always dipped transplants in a batch of Rootone water before putting them in their new homes.

When i do start nutes (after 1 month) I only feed once a week at most.. and water 3-4 days at that size....

What did you mean by "cooling issue"?

I also added 1 drop of SuperThrive to my gallon of water iv'e been using to water with since the transplant. Maybe that is something? And when I planted that Banana the roots were already abour 4-5 inches long :/

When i water (schedge IS fucked) I water till there is some run-off coming out of the pot. When i took those pics i had watered earlier that day. Say around 2:30-3:00PM and took the pictures at 8:00PM.

My temps stay at 75-80 degrees.

yes. so I've learned. Most people said it wont work, some people said they've done it successfully. I'm still thinking that since they haven't grown really, that they are still in shock (i have two clones) So im kinda just waiting it out. I mean, ill be bummed, but if these die then im ordering a bunch of Lowryders. Cant wait for a fresh start

Going from hydro to soil is fine so long as the transition isn't too wild.

poor environment; poor lighting, maybe heat too and the curling is too much nutes for your conditions. PH is too high also -your plants barely have roots.

it probably doesnt help that they went for soil to hydro, huge change for a plant it may not survive good luck though

ThomJefferson, the temps are fine, im not feeding any nutes, the pH is 6.5, the lights have vegged two bigger plants before so that should be too much of a problem.

Alright, i havent watered since Saturday, the top of the soil is still a little wet. It looks like some of the leaves are still drooping a bit and curling down. Even more than last night.

I fkn hate clones...

:shock: You hate clones!?... but you want Lowryder?! :o

*** shakes head ***

The cooling issue(?), and/or any others, is largely related to the decrease in oxygen the plant is now getting compared to hydro. It's just going to need a week or two to put down some more roots and then it'll start vegging again.

No worries ;-)
