How To Tell Pollination Was Successful?

I just made my first go at making my own seeds. I crossed my C-99 with some pollen from my Purple Urkel clone. It got one bud with male flowers, so I clipped it and collected the pollen.

My question is, how can I tell that the pollination was successful? And how long does it take to tell?

The pistils are turning an amber color where I applied the pollen. Is this where my seeds are going to form?

I have been growing for 3 1/2 years and this is my first time making seeds, so I am totally in the dark on what to look for now.

Any help is appreciated.

im not sure about checking to see if its got seeds maybe wait until harvest day

I realize on harvest day I will be able to tell.

I will be able to tell long before harvest day. I pollinated like 3 branches on 2 different plants. So I should be able to tell the difference between the two branches.

I am looking for early indicators that I did it right.

not a clue!! should look the same as a normal bud i think

The first thing that happens is the hairs actually retract on the buds that got pollenated. And those hairs darken if I remeber correctly.

After that you will notice those calyxes are more swollen compared to others. Don't touch them, just look.

All the hairs on a branch don't retract together, just the ones that received pollen directly.

to answer your question it takes a week to see if you did it right and you can tell that there are seeds forming give it a couple weeks after that and you have usable seeds.

That's pretty much how I remember it, but it will take a good 4 weeks for them to mature.
I couldn't see if the seeds were growing as I only lightly pollenated so the buds kept getting bigger and fatter.
