growing in dorm room??

Hey whats up everyone? This is my first post but the title pretty much says it all. I've been smoking for quite some time now and just really wanna try growing for the first time. I have been contemplating the idea of growing just 1 plant in my dorm room( Im gonna have a single so dont have to worry about a roommate). Ive learned a TON from this site already and hope you guys can can help me out some more. The things im really concerned are about odor and ventilation for the plant ( since I dont want anyone else knowing what I got going on in my room) other then that I really want to be get a MH and HPS light, but im not really sure if Ill be able to get both. anyways if you guys have any ideas and what not it would be a huge help.

I thought dorms get inspected once in a while.
Personally I wouldnt risk it. Unless you can hide the ventilation tubing or w/e.

If you really MUST grow something, do NOT grow it in your dorm. When the R.A. comes in for a surprise visit because he notices the stadium lights in your room, you will be out of the University. I suggest doing some guerrilla style growing in some woods nearby campus.

No one wants a drug charge on their record.

That does sound very risky. I am still paranoid growing in my apartment, and I got a stealth op. By the time they start budding, that stentch would be filling the hallways. If you got any pics of the area you want to use, post them so we can get a better idea of whether or not youll be able to get away with this.

very risky..the odor gets very strong

try and find a spot in the woods around your campus where it gets enough of the essentials (light, water, etc.) and grow it there. just keep it a secret or someone will steal it, and make sure no one sees you just wondering in the woods haha.

i grew in my dorm room last year and man did it reek after the first month and a half. invest in some odor eliminators and make sure everything is inconspicuous. i was growing in a computer case so all the electrics were hidden. beware of fire inspections.

Yes their is risk,if you are not ready to take the risk dont,to each their own.some of us walk differant roads.in the end you and only you live with the outcome.but you will not be the first to grow in a dorm room and you will not be the last.good luck in what ever you decide.

Listen to Johnny man don't do it. You have your whole future ahead of you don't blow it. Do the outside thing, they usually do better outside anyway. You really have to be on your toes in a dorm...all the time it's going to be such a burden at times.

hey thanks for all the replies everyone......I def know its risky and I might just end up waiting one more semester till I get my own place but I dunno its so tempting because of one thing.....I am the RA ( hence my going back to school early) but ya the last thing I need is ANOTHER drug charge on my record lol

One is not good and two is really bad dude. Depending on your state, some have three strike rules, you could be really screwed. And not only that nobody is gonna hire you...just wait, or grow outside.

The police, campus security....no offense but when I was in college they were in the dorms at least every other weekend. He needs to worry about all the dorms around him behaving.

very true Gygax.....lets just say I go to a school where the party scene is alive and kicking and people here know how to have a good time which inevitably means theres always plenty of cops around ready to ruin someones night.......but on a good note, a couple of my friends just got a new house off campus and were each going to split the cost of supplies three ways and should have a pretty nifty grow room set up in the fall. So hopefully by the end of the semester we'll be smoking our own herb!!
