Ideal humidity during flowering is 20-50% and ideal temps are 70-80F for daytime and 60-70F during nighttime, although many say that 65F should be the low limit and 85F the high limit.

i have 1 power pack running the extractor i made but i blew the other 1 up i made the fan that is so i only have 1 now. the big fan i have inside the tent is not facing the plants but i only have them on when the lights are on. should i have fans on when the lights are off

In the nightcycle, plants don't use co2, so ventilation is not necessary. Still, you should keep the outtake fan on, in order to keep humidity low during the night. If this lowers your temps under 60F, don't use any fan. High humidity is better than low temps.

my lights run at night so i keep the extraction fan on. the temp readings i gave you was with the extraction fan on and the big fan on. i was only going to have them both on when the lights are on or shall i ditch the fan and stick with the extractor

My first hydro experience was with clay balls. I still use them in soil grow, I put them on the soil and on the bottom of the pot. They retain amazing amounts of water and nutes and then slowly eliminate them, so that the roots have a constant amount of food and water. Still, I'm a proud soil grower and believe that soil growth is the healthiest way of growing a plant. But if you want to switch to hydro, that there is a very good deal and I really enjoyed growing in clay balls. It's just that keeping the reservoir full and worrying about flooding the house was too much hassle for me.

Also, mjdeg, we're all here to answer questions...

I can't really answer that question for you. If you feel you're good at soil growing, stick to it, yet if you want to experiment, that's a good deal there. I usually oppose hydro grow because it's unnatural and can f*ck up your plants, but I'd be ignorant not to acknowledge that plants grow faster and bigger in hydro grows. This is really a difficult subject and only you can tell if you want to go hydro. In my opinion hydro means less quality, more quantity but I'm sure there's alot of experts that can prove me wrong.

Wow, that's quite a list there to choose from. Here's my picks: Greenhouse seeds Alaskan Ice (perfect stone-high ratio), GHS White Rhino (super-stone), GHS Super Silver Haze (short sativa, under 1.9m, wonderful cerebral high with a bit of stone), Barney's Laughing Buddha (fantastic high), Big Buddha's Buddha Haze (almost perfect sativa IMO). Of cours, there are many many other strains here that are just as wonderful, these are just the ones I like. My advice is to do some research and find out what you want, according to height, potency, yeald etc etc. After all, you're payin for the seeds and you're growing it...

cheers. well the temp i told you what my tent is when the lights are off is my day temp. will this cause the plants problems? i have my lights run at night time when im in so if any probs occour such as a fire hopefuly it doesnt happen i can sort it out. i dont feel very good at soil growing at the moment because im still learning i was wondering if the kit i showed you would be any easier. i will have to do some research into them seeds. but idealy i want a medium hight plant with good yeild and easy to look after. such as resiliant to mould

Sorry, I miscalculated the temps from F in C. Your temps are perfect. I edited my previous post, eliminating that part, not to confuse other readers.

Hydro grow is always more complicated. You need to check your plants twice as much and there's a constant fear that you'll flood the house. If you feel you can still learn a trick or two from soil grow, stick to it.

Hmm... how bout Alaskan Ice. Is very mold resistant (although you should know that there is no such thing as a plant that is completely mold resistant), finishes in 9-10 weeks, the yeald is 250-500g wet, height is under 1,4-1,5m. Alaskan Ice is a cross between White Widow and Haze, so it's a damn good hybrid with really cool parents. Alaskan Ice has shown THC levels of over 21%. It's my fav hybrid.

Again, not trying to influence you, this is your choice. I'd also recommend a Lowryder, Durban Poison, Skunk, Cheese, Lemon Cheese, Blue Cheese, Blueberry, Skywalker, White Shark, El Nino, Buddha's Sister or Northern Lights. All these can be grown under 1,5m and are very potent and impressive, yet my fav hybrid remains Alaskan Ice.
