can fan makes some small carbon filters. It depends on the size of the room, not how many plants. Give us more info if you want more specific answers.

Closet

What about for a closet in an apartment? The closet is not that big, and I am too only growing 4 plants. I thought about a single layer carbon filter scrubber (SP*)? What do you guys think?

If I was you, and if you never ever want to have to worry about even the slightest odor, then get a 4" flange filter with at least 11lbs of carbon.

Dutch breeze 4" with 11.9lbs of carbon is like $90 of BGHhydro.com, you need a 4" vortex fan, but you will not regret it. You will never have an odor issue, and you will be able to run some 4" ducting to exhaust the closet and get better airflow which means bigger buds.

Thats awesome thx for the info bro +rep I have a couple rooms (well one right now 4.5'x4.5'x8' the next room will be slightly bigger (maybe like 5'x5'x8') they'll have maybe 10-12 plants each that sounds ideal. 1 setup for each room, how is the noise on those vortex fans? I got a couple cheapo 6'' inline fans for the in and out vents in my first room. Would like to switch em out to vortex but soo expensive. would be like $160 a pop

Vortex fans cost more but they are well worth it because they actually move air. If you get HO fans that are rated higher CFM then the filter you can buy a fan controller and run the fan a bit slower, running an oversized fan on a lower speed is Way quieter then a fan running at full speed. It also puts a lot less stress on the fan.

The inline fans that are rated for "250 CFM" are BOOSTER fans, they are rated for air that is already moving, they are meant to add if you have cold spots in your house and want to boost the heat in the ducting.

They definitely arent too lound, Especially considering sound is not nearly as bad as Chronic Odor alll day long. To reduce noise you could get insulated ducting, or you can even buy ducting mufflers, a 4" muffler would be like $30-50
