favourite music for your plants

I've known for a long time now that certain types of music have a great effect on a plants development. I was wondering if anyone on here has tried playing music to their plants and any differences you noticed.

As a 1st time grower of plants I don't really have any comparisons to make, my grandad however always had music playing in his kitchen, I always noticed as a child how the plants in the same room seemed to be more vibrant.

Look into Sonic Bloom. It's basically a soundtrack of natural sounds (birds, insects, etc.) recorded over some classical music. According to Jason King it really makes a difference but not that many growers are using it yet.

I'm sure the vibrations of certain sound waves have a positive effect on all plants. Remember, when growing indoors you're trying to replicate the external environment as much as possible...

not too sure i buy into all of the sounds stuff just yet... who are we to say what they want to hear?? if i was a plant, i'd just want some peace and quiet to do my thing; and some food, light, and water of course... i do talk to them though, cause that has CO2... we know that helps...

well im sure most of u have seen the mythbusters regarding this subject. mythbusters found out:

plants optimum amount of music is 3 hours per day.
playin music 24 hours per day killed the plants.
playing hardcore scream music showed the best growth of all.


ive also read that any "soothing" or smooth music. ive used bob marley, etc. it doesnt matter that much i dont think

My plants get a good dose of BACH, BEETHOVEN, AND REGGAE MUSIC. It seems funny playing songs about pot smoking, as the plants will only be listening to songs about their ultimate demise.

I made mine a mix that turns on with the lights...lol....Lou Reed, Tom Waits(they love "chocolate jesus"), Dylan, James Brown, Modest Mouse etc. They love the oldschool shit.
