Come on now...you will get the DWC down pat and it will all be good. It is all good>
It's just inherently very sensitive that's all it needs to be monitored too much. Only problem I have had with my new vertical aero so far is one clogged mister. DWC is just not a good set-up for what I'm doing, I was just trying to be cheap. Lesson learned AGAIN:wall:

My plan now is just o send them loving vibes and hope they get they point that I'm sorry for not giving them the best:-P

Funny thing is the Hijack moms look awesome and they are growing in the exact same conditions.:?:

I guess some plants like it, others don't.
Yeah that and the Hijack is younger, I had some slime like you net while I was waiting for my h202 delivery. This system is better suited to larger plants, starting seedlings or small clones just does not work out well. The rooters are too moist but lowering the water level would mean hand watering and I don't have the time to hand water them that often right now. As long as they get through this phase I'm sure they will be fine when the roots grow out some more. Just frustrating :leaf:

True. I know I baby my plants and they still give me problems. So far it's DWC for me. ebb seems too messy for a closet grow.
Yeah I have never had to baby my plants this much, it seems like they have a new issue every few hours. I feel like I'm trying to run a marijuana ICU unit or something.

When they grow out some more though I'm dumping this, keeping my moms in soil and building a cloner with the equipment left over.

I would suggest going to Aeroponics, it's pretty expensive to get started but the results speak for themselves. I check the ph/ppm a couple times a week and that's about all the work I have to do, also don't run into the root-rot problems since the res stays pretty cool as the pump only runs 1 min on, 5 min off on a recylce timer and the roots arent submerged in water. But if you get DWC down to a science, more power to ya.

I have an aero set up too, its a vertical PVC system with misters. My res temp in my DWC has never gone above 71 F, It's mostly the design of my system. The rez is not very tall so I can grow larger plants in a height restricted space (homebox xs)

I'm expanding this to an aero-fog tub set up in march.:weed:

those foggers are nice but they do heat up the water temps alot, you'll defiantly need a water chiller.
Nah the tubs run a rez temp max about 80 F with my foggers. The higher the water temp the more fog produced and most of the root mass is suspended in the fog. H202 keeps the rest sterile. Plants grow like crazy in these things. :leaf:
Cheap too costs about $40 to build one that can hold 12 large plants.
