one thing i would suggest is that around my area. there is numerous people that have homeade deer/animal feeders. i might be round but they might think its a feeder with food for them. just a thought
and also, wut kinda soil do u have in those buckets?

some yellow construction string.
i'm not sure, but is the string going to need lots of changing as the plant grows, or will it just adjust to it's new limitations? i made sure to tie it below each node on the branches so it can grow longer, but i feel as though it might fuck the plant up. all i wanted to accomplish was giving the lower branches more light so they can catch up to the top growth. they already grew to about 7 inches each, in the past week... so they are doing good as is, but this should really let them take off.
let me know what you guys think! this is the first time i ever tried to do anything like that, since i saw pics on here of somebody who made a sweet little bush with about 12 main colas instead of one with this method.

i water them like every 5 days. 2 days ago they really needed it.. i actually expected to see them wilted almost, but they were looking nice and fluffy.... the soil was dry, so i watered each one. yesterday... what happens? fucking downpour for about an hour. hahah
i like to let them dry out though just enough so the roots stretch for that water.. i believe in that having the potential for bigger growth.

oh.. i want to make a spray to keep the bugs off, but i'm a little weary of what a lot of people are talking about... [mild lemon dish soap, habanero, tobacco juice, etc... ]
how do i even get tobacco juice, and do i really want to spray that on my plants? i think the lemon plus some neem oil might suffice... thanks

sorry for the lack of updates if anyone is even interested.
i'm going to take a hike up there now.... it rained nice on the 4th, and a tiny bit on the 5th. today is brilliant sunshine.

lol. Guess what? I guess I'm not only stickin to the sideways thing. I had some plants out at the river, the last time i was there was june 9th. I didn't go back because the river flooded!! I thought for sure they were scuba diving!!! Went by there today and guess they only got very close to flooding, I did proly loose 20 others that were lower elevation, but these are almost 3 feet now.I thru around 80 seeds in the ground there in spring, and moved dozens out of that plot. there are about 10-12 here.
The vegetation around these things are crazy like amazon. I think they stretched so much due to claustraphobia. Ohh well I'm still pumped.

mexi, i remember reading about that. they turned out really nice, good thing they didn't get flooded i guess..
well, i went to see my babies yesterday, and despite some heavy raining this past week, one day of sunshine and the soil is dry.. the plants are looking very nice. i tried to look for gender, and i can guarantee 4 females, one is hard to tell, and the nicest one there with all the sets of 9, i think may be male.
i took some pictures of the beauties.. they're between 20 and 34 inches as of yesterday.
when i come back home tonight, i'll post the pics. stay tuned!!
edit: i just looked at the pics that i last posted on 6-28. so what, it's been 10 days? they are giants now. almost twice the size it appears, because all the branches stretched really high. can't wait to share the pics

[since these pics, i snapped the one plant i pruned.. it grew 3 TOPS!! instead of just 2, but one of the bigger ones i snapped... i tied it together and i hope it grows well.]
my friend insisted on pulling some of the really big fan leaves off, too.. they are still looking very healthy, but i would rather just keep them tied back... what do you guys think??
and bugs.... i need a remedy fast. they are eating away at all the fan leaves. crazy pink and blue bugs, black bugs, green stinky ass bugs, and other crazy shit... thanks and peace!

hey sonof tell your friend he sucks do not what so every take off your big fan leaves unless they are diseased or very unhelathy those fan leaves are whats sucking in all the sun light and making your nice looking plants grow big and lush.thanks for your time.Peace.

Yes this is accurate....I never did get why people advised removing healthy leaves....first of all that just makes the plant put all it's energy into fixing that wound, and it's growth slows drastically until it has repaired the wound.
Second, for every leave you may remove is removing the plants means of using sunlight....those leaves are essential to the continued growth of the plant. The newer smaller leaves don't collect large amounts of sunlight like your larger fan leaves.
As for remedies, I dunno since I grow indoors but I have heard that garlic, lemon juice and tobasco sauce can be mixed and used as a natural pesticide.
