Do you protect your grow area?

I have been tossing around the idea of taking some cuttings of some very nasty plants in my area and cultivating them for some friends of mine that grow outdoors. Mostly very thorny stuff that grows quick and thick. Ever done anything like this?

Thats one of the many ideas I have. I actually have some dewberry plants that are native sprouting in rockwool in my aero rig right now.

Here is an example of how thorny they are, this isn't the same variety I have but close.

I'd try to find an area outdoors that has thorn bushes or briars that grow there already. Since they already grow there nothing looks out of the ordinary. Although depending on the area, matthews idea could work well.

How tall do those things grow? What ever cover you use would be best if it were tall enough to hide the plant as a whole.

Could find a spot that has hornets nest nearby. Just be extra carefull, and no sudden movements.

Just watch the poison oak/ivy/sumac. The oils can stay dormant for up to a year, meaning if you get it on your pants, take your pants off and put it in a closet, if you pick it up a year later you can have a reaction.

Also, if those oils get on your buds and you smoke it, it could be toxic.

When I read this thread, the first thing I thought about was the "Wait-a-while" bush that Bear Grills from Man vs. Wild always points out.

Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Anyone know if it would be possible to grow these on our own?
